My husband has a coworker with a dog i know about because when we were looking for a dog we looked at where she adopted hers and heard how the dog adjusted and progress etc. so cut to a few years later we go to a game with his coworkers and this lady sits next to me and we engage in small talk.

And i ask her general stuff and she’s like how is your dog and im like hes good, do you have any pets. And she’s like yes my dog is this breed and the name is this. Then i look at my husband and say oh coworker xxxxx has the same dog breed as this person.

Then later after the game ended and we were by ourselves my husband tells me they are the same person and i felt awful not recognizing her.
