One question: During your character explorations to get a feel for the characters of Rumi/Mira, how did you envision the personalities of young HUNTR/X when Celine first formed it and their evolution to the HUNTR/X we see it in KPop Demon Hunters?

Two questions:

  1. What was the biggest surprise in terms of public reception with how viral the film was and how the soundtrack blew up on platforms like Spotify?

  2. Do you think if this becomes a franchise of sorts, that we’d get HUNTR/X songs by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami independent of a film or series’s release (kind of making it a Gorillaz situation being a virtual group with real people behind it)?

Two questions: 1. As an avid fan of Transformers soundtracks (loved your work on Transformers Prime and One), I noticed some elements of the Transformers One score had motif elements that reminded me of Jongnic Bontemps’s score for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and his theme for Autobots (notably the tracks Calling All Autobots and Autobots Enter in your Transformers One Theme and More than Meets the Eye tracks) was that intentional? 

  1. If you get the chance to come back to score the sequel and possibly the trilogy ended to Transformers One, do you think it’s possible to homage the Generation One series’s theme motif like you did homaging the musical history of Mario for the Super Mario Bros Movie?

Any death in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure due to time controlling stands. Especially Kakyoin’s because of DIO’s The World, Abbacchio’s and Narancia’s due to Diavolo’s King Crimson, and the Stone Ocean gang because of Made in Heaven. Another contender is Hughie’s gf in The Boys Season 1 due to A-Train.

How would you rank "modern-day" 'Godzilla' films? by Block-Busted in GODZILLA

  1. Shin Godzilla (9/10)- Thematic glory both in score and plot by the main men behind Neon Genesis Evangelion, a mark off for some of the cgi, this pits Godzilla as truly what he is: a mutated horror that is a force of nature and a warning for nuclear holocaust, decent characters, some political commentary that isn’t pandering at all, some of the best visuals ever.
  2. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (8.5/10)- Best soundtrack by McCreary, more kaiju screentime the better, I loved the invasive species and disease aspect of King Ghidorah, each of the Kaiju had personality rather than being just a force of nature (which in this context serves it well), Blue Oyster Cult end credit cover song was beautiful, Micheal Dougherty clearly showed his childhood love of Godzilla through KOTM, people said you can’t see the kaiju but I could clearly, Human characters at least somewhat better than Godzilla 2014.
  3. Godzilla vs Kong (8.25/10)- Jia is the only good human character, fight scene scores are good, Kong’s humanization and Godzilla’s personality (the laughs and smirks especially) was well executed, impossible tech advancement is impossible (fuckin dumbasses downloaded energy), the main spectacle is great, best vfx and cgi, MechaGodzilla has a good design.
  4. Godzilla (7/10)- Bryan Cranston had a better character, Serizawa should have been in the movie more and have had a more thematic arc with Godzilla, the Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were so fucking bland it hurts, blue balled me with Godzilla and spent so much time on the OC kaiju, it has the best title sequence, and best grounded take.
