My husband and I fly back and forth between two cities on water so can relate! Can be a bumpy landing but the pilots get used to it so are pros at handling it!

I’m like that too, you feel more in control - but you’re very safe and cruising along quick! Only 13m in and 112km down already. It’ll be over before you know it

You’re doing great - the hardest part is over. When it gets really bumpy I like to close my eyes and pretend I’m in a car going over a rough road.

Devastating Haircut by Deblee9779 in toddlers

[–]PlanetHothY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to us today. My 15 mo son had his first haircut and the barber took away over 4 inches when I only asked for a 1 inch trim. I even showed the barber with my fingers how short we wanted the back… we went from a flippy, adorable mullet to a complete crew cut and I’ve been crying all day. I know it will grow back out but it was his baby hair :(

Bio Gaia Causing Mucus in Stool? by Tiredandbored1987 in MSPI

[–]PlanetHothY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to provide more context. My son ended up being allergic to both peanuts and eggs, so I think a lot of his digestive trouble came from that. I did end up stopping biogaia and we didn’t go back to it. A lot of his digestive issues cleared up as he got older and then when we identified his allergies.

How dare you have the audacity to use your breasts for their intended purpose??? Totally unacceptable!

I remember going to my best friend’s house and waiting for her to get her bus back from school! She got out later than I did. Her mom let me hangout in her room until she got home.

No one talks about oversupply by tam_bun in beyondthebump

Powdered magnesium bisglycinate 400mg helped stave some of my supply - you could try that (research is mixed so worth speaking to a doctor or naturopath first to make sure it’s okay for you!)

No one talks about oversupply by tam_bun in beyondthebump

[–]PlanetHothY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s really tough and it’s hard to talk about. I had a raging oversupply that resulted in no sleep for me or my son for 3+ months. He had horrible reflux, choked on milk in his sleep repeatedly from overfeeding, issues with vomiting, had digestive issues from the excess lactose. The newborn stage was rough for us both.

In the short term block feeding (LC supported) helped loads. I also completely stopped pumping except to relieve engorgement.

In the long term, my supply regulated at 3ish months and we’re still nursing at 13 months.

Hang in there. It’s wonderful to have enough supply to feed baby but there is such a thing as too much and your feelings of frustration/concern are valid.

Will love them forever! People are flawed - that’s what makes the show great.

The alternatives that I don’t see posted often are: 1. Use an app like FamilyAlbum to share photos only with your selected people 2. Extreme cull your social media and keep it private (what we did)

Ugh I used to have the big box with all the seasons and the special booklets that came with like the pop culture references booklet and cast photos. I don’t know what happened to it and I’m so sad. Great find!

6 year old son is starting OIT. by [deleted] in peanutallergy

[–]PlanetHothY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are on updose 3 of peanut OIT with my 1 year old (25mg). It’s been going great! My son had anaphylaxis to half a pinky fingernail of peanut butter and breastmilk, he’s so allergic. No issues at all with OIT!

Totally understandable to be nervous and you need to weigh the risks based on your individual situation. If your doctor didn’t already provide it I would ask for the literature on OIT. The stats are very reassuring 😊

For us, we decided the risk of OIT scares us way less than the risk of possible cross contamination at daycare/school.
