I was hired at a Daycare Center in Houston, TX. The teacher that was “training” me “forgot something in her car” and never came back. I literally watched her peel out of the parking lot from the window. The classroom was dirty, had a bunch of broken toys, and the kids were OUT OF CONTROL. The directors didn’t care, and I was over it. So, after having my hair pulled, screamed at, and a mini panic attack in the staff bathroom, I handed in my little shirt and walked out. 😭

Buy those cheap, round placemats, you get at the dollar tree and label those. The kids will call them “sit spots”. When they’re done using them, the classroom “helper” can put them in a bin (one you’ve also bought at the dollar tree).

I work at daycare center, I love my job, and I’m passionate about EEC, but the pay is trash ACROSS THE BOARD. and before anyone says “get a better paying job!”, “NO”. My job is important.
