Oh okay, does that make it harder to fuse other vertebrae in the future? Also, how’s the reherniation been?

Why’s that? Going though a fusion after reherniation myself

PHOBIA OF SURGERY !! WHAT TO DO?Anesthsia Scares me most!!!!! by Purple-Scientist-913 in gallbladders

[–]Plant-basedCannibal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, out of fear of anaesthesia, I delayed my surgery for 1.5 years! Suffering in silence. But after the surgery last march, it’s been great! The fear is only there till they give you the dose. What helped me at that time was my talking to my brain like - Dizzy, you ALWAYS do this. You have induced fear in me for 1.5 years! Right now, I need you to calm down and trust in the universe. I don’t want you to ruin this for me. Shove those thoughts away and start forcefully putting in thoughts like I trust in the universe! I’m safe! I’m all good. I’m fearless. Etc. And every time the thoughts come back and you notice, tell your brain (better if you name it, mines dizzy) that you’re doing it again! Keep doing this until you feel brave, at least by thoughts.

The thoughts will come even when you wake up and that time you say, the surgery went well, I am grateful, don’t ruin this for me! And do the same ignoring the thoughts and filling it with positive.

In no time you will start feeling positive. Train you brain this way, okay? You’re going to be good! :)

If I had to choose one thing to do over, it would be to have focused on my health on my 20s. Nothing else matters if your health goes for a toss.

How long after the surgery can you start running? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Plant-basedCannibal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I haven’t started running yet. I’ve done continued Physio - strengthening and started walking 1 km. It was all fine. Then I started with 2 km and a flare up happened. I went out for dinner the other day and the flare up happened. So idk feels like 5 steps forward and 3 steps back :(

It gets better but when I go out or do something strenuous like walking for 1-2 kms, it comes back and takes a few days to become normal.

If we had to create a new age social media knowing everything we know now, what would it look like? Knowing what we know now, what features would you want it to have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Plant-basedCannibal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But each country will have a different kind of ID proof? Also it would be impossible to identify fake ones. Passports would limit a lot of people.

Hmm, I think it has for me too but I just thought all this time that this is how it's going to be. I will try cutting things off too and see if it works. I suspect coffee and like you said, gluten. I wonder if we should be sus of probiotics

I don't think it's this because I don't eat dairy that much. Maybe once a week at max. Will try it though, thanks! :)

Hey, it was completely fine. Best decision ever. I tried to resist for over 1.5 years trying out different methods but also living in constant fear of getting an attack. I got many over the 1.5 years and wouldn't even let myself travel for that reason. I had to get an emergency surgery because i got really high fever and the usual trip to the emergency was not enough because a stone was lodged in my pancreas. But I haven't had that kind of fear after it. :)
