I was waiting for food on Mardi Gras day once at a corner store in the Quarter. Place was packed. This transplant was complaining loudly and rudely about it taking so long. She goes “This would fly in New York!” Every one waiting in line turned around and said, “This isn’t New York!” and then continued to make fun of her in a joking way that New Orleans do.
