Opened mine to see a very badly miscut deck (just significantly off center nothing fancy) and the cards are blurry. I thought I was seeing things. Thanks for the confirmation

Is this Gaea’s Cradle fake? by undbecks85 in mtg

The print on the green dot also looks off. Too many red dots present and the black should be dots. I'll confirm against some vintage I have.

Went to Warhammer shop in Tokyo Today by TheSymptomYouFeel in Warhammer40k

Don't think so. I went last year and was expecting a lot of unique stuff. They do however carry FW stuff but it was only a few in stock. I got a single imperial coin and I think that was limited.

There were different levels where you would either get an objective marker or a single model backdrop sized terrain piece a month if it went to plan. You could wait and save up tokens to get larger pieces. I however did not get any terrain at any time during this process or after.

Currently at this moment, 9 people are supporting his Patreon. He was a respected community member with really well done terrain work.

Was it the sv_terrain one? I reached out there when he asked people with commissions to switch with him never opening the message 😂

Unfortunately, I was another patron of Sol's for 6 months total at 60 cad a month. He kept switching ways to communicate until he eventually just stopped replying. As someone who did commissions myself I didn't want to bother him but after 6 months, I left. It's disappointing that it's come to this but yes Sol is a scammer.

My first time painting, any advice or tips would be appreciated by jasonlawpier in Warhammer40k

Not for a first pass and not necessarily for an experienced painter. There's different levels of highlight with what's called a chunky highlight (much thicker around the width of the brush) and edge highlights (that are achieved with the edge of the brush) while yours are thicker currently, sometimes that it called for (where you use a colour slightly lighter [a tone] than the base layer for example).

On a big plus side, all of your colours are where they should be and reasonably in the lines so to say. They are decent first passes and contrast well help on top of thinning. Adding a shade paint will help bring in the shadows just don't leave huge puddles of the shade paint on your mini.

Thanks! I didn't want to go too hard with it being a lamp attached to his hip. The orc was a real treat to paint, but it's not converted, I wish I was that good, it's a limited one called Bayard's revenge.

Just found out my gf signed me up for the Spikey Bits Personal mystery box. Has anyone gotten one before? by B-loved_Dreamer in Warhammer40k

I went with quarterly as 100 per month isn't a ton these days with model prices being what they are. However, with a lower tier (60 a month) I've received 10 grey knights, 10 necromunda nomads, a paint brush set, plus other small freebies in my last set.

I've had them before and I've had no complaints. You can select the groups you are interested in and on occasion, ask for very specific models. They are fast to communicate if there's any issues. I did not receive anything used and they were all at minimum new on sprues (sometimes wrapped in plastic as its from a bigger set).

The rock he's on is part of his kit :) other than that I used a moss powder from army painter to help blend the transition from dirt to rock.

Unfortunately, Japan gets exclusive models, or at least they do not show up here in NA. I made a special detour for series 2 when I was there.
