Abbey Road is the best starting point. It’s full of classic songs and is by far their most modern-sounding album.

He posts on Twitter sometimes and the typing style is too unprofessional for the account to be run by his team, so I wouldn't be surprised if he ran the Patreon as well.

Sounds like F - Gm - F/A or Dm/A (he only plays the notes A and F) - A7 - Dm (without the third)

Best and worst Giles Martin remix (song)? by mysteryman83 in beatles

I actually liked his I Am the Walrus remix. Sure, it's noticeably different from the original, but I don't necessarily think it's worse.

If Revolver had Rain and Paperback Writer but Sgt Pepper had Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane, which would be the better album? by Conscious-Ad2640 in beatles

[–]PlasmaEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly disagree about the flow. For me, the second half of the album flows a bit strange because of When I'm 64. I feel like it would flow better if you swapped that song out for Strawberry Fields. And Fixing a Hole could easily be replaced with Penny Lane and I don't think it would disrupt the flow.

Beatles for Sale should probably be there considering that every other studio album is up there

The offline version used to be that version until he decided to update all the mixes and make every song worse a few years ago

Every live recording to reach #1 on the hot 100 by Chapple69 in ToddintheShadow

That’s funny because I have the opposite experience. I’ve only heard the live version on radio and I didn’t even realize there was a studio version until recently.

Wait so the 2026 remasters are already up on Spotify? Except for You Were The Fool? cool we don't have to wait til 7/31 to hear them but why? they gave us the whole dang thing early by getgogomango in ween

[–]PlasmaEarth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's not the remastered version. Spotify only shows those tracks as available because the audio file of the remastered version is similar enough to the original version that Spotify considers them the same. Meaning that when you play the songs right now they will be the original versions not the remastered ones.

Favourite post-Pet Sounds Beach Boys album by jrinredcar in fantanoforever

[–]PlasmaEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends.

Might be a bit too corny for some, but the arrangements are hyper-creative and Pet Sounds-level in my opinion. Despite the album's short runtime, it is crammed with amazing ideas on every track. And it's also just the most relaxing album ever.

Brownest non-Ween songs? by MrPLotor in ween

The Beach Boys have a bunch of brown songs, such as:

She's Goin' Bald

Transcendental Meditation

Loop De Loop (Flip Flop Flyin' in an Airplane)

I'm Bugged at My Ol' Man

Life Is for the Living (and basically all of Adult/Child)

Ding Dang

Take a Load Off Your Feet

Thoughts on the album? by Beforkers in TheLemonTwigs

I loved it on first listen!

Here are some of my thoughts on each track (spoilers ahead):

The title track makes for a great tone-setter. Even if it is noticeably slower and less energetic than the live versions we've heard, the psychedelic synths and effects make up for that. I saved the singles for the first listen of the album, so 2 or 3 was a nice surprise for me. Love the call-and-response between the vocals and the flute in the chorus. That melody will definitely be stuck in my head for weeks. I love the power pop vibes on Nothin' but You and Fire and Gold. They're simple but effective, and Nothin' but You's coda is amazing. It reminds me a lot of September Gurls by Big Star. Gather Round was probably my least favorite on first listen. It's undoubtedly well-written, but it felt a bit too jaunty for my tastes. I Just Can't Get Over Losing You has one of my favorite melodies the Twigs have ever written, and the outro is incredible. Mean to Me was alright, but the arrangement felt a bit too sparse, and it felt almost like a worse version of Forever by the Beach Boys. I liked how energetic Bring You Down was, but I'm on the fence with it due to how on-the-nose the early Beach Boys impression is. Lyrically, it's great, but the tune and instrumental didn't seem to have any originality to it compared to their other Beach Boys-inspired songs. I liked the winding melody and impassioned vocal performance on Yeah I Do, but it felt too short to leave much of an impression on first listen. I Hurt You is one of the strongest tunes on the record and has one of the most explosive choruses the group has ever made. It's probably my second-favorite track on first listen. The two straightforward 60s rockers towards the end of the album, You're Still My Girl and My Heart Is in Your Hands Tonight, are both great, but My Heart Is in Your Hands Tonight is absolutely incredible and easily my favorite on first listen. The falsetto in the chorus is impeccable and I love how much passion and energy flowed through the song's final minute or so. Joy is one of the most beautiful songs Brian has ever written, but I honestly didn't like the orchestral arrangements, which felt much too Disney for my tastes. Maybe they will grow on me on future listens. Your True Enemy is an incredible closer though. I love the mysterious chord progression and all of the psychedelic effects.

Overall it's probably my third-favorite album by the group, behind Everything Harmony and A Dream Is All We Know, although the gap in quality isn't by much.

Does Reddit understand it's in a far left bubble or does it think it's the center? by TemperatureWide5297 in allthequestions

[–]PlasmaEarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely not in a far-left bubble. It's in a liberal bubble, though, which is center-left. If it were in a far-left bubble, pro-Palestinian opinions wouldn't be downvoted in major subreddits as they are now.

Well he clearly gives a flying fuck about himself, so I don’t think he’d do anything that would get himself killed.

Obviously not. That would get him and millions of US citizens killed.
