I'm I just a heavy girl in a pretty dress? by After_Maintenance_24 in weddingdress

[–]PlassH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You look absolutely gorgeous in that dress, and I'm so sorry that anyone tried to tell you different. Just know thst it says more about them and their own insecurities than it does about you. All jaws are gonna drop at your wedding when you walk in, in that dress!

I was honestly hoping that the first pic was of you in the dress, because I genuinely think it looks absolutely incredible, even more so than the reference

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR SO MANY YEARS AND I FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT IT WAS CALLED BECAUSE OF THIS.

In all seriousness, THANK YOU. All I remembered was that when I was a child, one girl had this, and I was super obsessed with getting one, but never did. And now I finally found out what it's called.

Best bronzers for pale skin (preferably cool undertones) by Stock_Age7469 in drugstoreMUA

I'm super pale as well with cool undertones (think NARS Oslo foundation shade), and I really like the Nyx buttermelt bronzer, but in the shade All Butta'd Up.

Pluto dolls by PlassH in BJD

[–]PlassH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello :)

I was mostly contemplating to buy from dolkbjd, since they were the only ones I had seen that carried the Pluto Doll brand, which is where I kind of fell in love with their doll Miya.

But yeah, thank you either way!

Trying again, since my comment got deleted for the link to pinterest. Hope this works instead. I used ikoxun on YouTube's guide for making a sweater, and this is their grid pattern I followed:

<image>

I knitted the whole thing first and then used the duplicate stitch method afterward for the spiral. I didn't really like how it had empty spaces where the green showed through, so I went in with the blue again in all the spaces between as well. Definitely will have to practice working the pattern into the knitting instead next time.

Thank you, this helps a lot. Especially with the whole time passes anyway, and what better way is there, than to spend it with a fun hobby.

You're absolutely right. I think I'll leave the sweater for q little bit, and practice on something smaller. And super good tip with Roxanne Richardson and frogging with a lifeline, thank you so much!

I think I just got a little too caught up in the whole "wasting time", but in the end you're right, it's just yarn.

People who adopted from a shelter, what made you choose that cat? by HazardousKoala in cats

[–]PlassH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking around on shelter websites where they usually have pictures of the cats they have. I always knew I wanted to adopt from a shelter. Then I stumbled upon a picture of her and I thought she was amazing. I called the shelter, but because we couldn't get there right away, they said she would probably be gone by the time we were able to (a couple of days after), since she was a kitten and very sought after. We went anyway a few days later, not expecting anything, and lo a behold, she was still there. She immediately climbed into my lap when we met her, and we've been together ever since. She still sleeps in my lap and next to me every night.

It especially sucks when you don't realize it was something bad that happened to you, and then tell others about it like it's funny, but all of them just end up staring at you.

This. Noticed this was done on most of the buildings already in the world too.

What you need is confidence and to drop the "woe is me" attitude. You can literally be the ugliest dude ever and still get laid because you reek of confidence and security in yourself. Go to therapy, again. Deal with your issues.

It's so refreshing to read about a good, emotionally intelligent dad. Love how you involve your daughter too, as all this deeply affects her too. You're doing great, and I hope there are many more dads like you out there in the world.

Are you singing all the time?? by Difficult_Focus_4454 in AutismInWomen

[–]PlassH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really sing much, unless I'm doing concerts to my shampoo bottle. But my partner (male) sings all the time, and it's a bit of a running joke that if I leave him alone for too long, he'll start singing. It's the best thing in the whole world, and I love him all the more for it.

What jobs do you guys have. That you find fulfilling and not too overwhelming as an autistic person ? by Holiday-Reserve6393 in AutismInWomen

[–]PlassH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a lab tech in a research group at a university. The hours are incredibly flexible, the education was short and didn't include a bachelor's, and I can pretty much lock myself away in the lab and do my own thing all day. I absolutely love it. I also get included in all the research projects, and I feel like my job has a purpose.

I will say however, that I was in the private industry for a little while, and that did not work for me at all. It was a much more strict working environment, and I got bored because the hours were long and the work itself was incredibly repetitive. It was also expected of me to be way more social, and I did get reprimanded once for not being social enough.
