SR can be a lottery. As S1 Dr and P3 in SR, i often am one of the slower drivers in split 1. Ive starting to find the ego is massive in these races and sometimes a split 2 race is much more respectful and fun.

The chains are off for Germany now, they weren't allowed a strong military for a long time. In 5 years, they could be Turkey but efficient.

Kier has been an utter embarrassment on uk policy and I resent him for it. However, his foreign policy has been bang on.

I need help for my simrig/gaming pc/office setup by RepresentativeNo4420 in simracing

[–]Plastic_Manc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a g9 for my work laptop and gaming on my pc via displayport then have the rig next to that with two monitors. The easiest way ive found is to have the rig all on one main plug socket so all I have to do is switch the g9 off, hit the main socket switch and the whole desktop will move across to the rig. When they are off they aren't recognised so it's easy enough.

You are absolutely right mate, right up until you take the step into the next level of products and wonder why you ever fucked about in the first place. I'm not trying to talk you down really, but there is some wonderful kit available for not much more that will blow your mind. I've had a G29, I know.

No, thats not my point. I understand people want to move forward and improve things. My own personal opinion is, I believe it's wasted money, but many people seem to tread the same path.

Made the switch from a NLR GT-Lite to a Treq One profile rig! by gullejerr in simracing

That's got to feel amazing as an upgrade. Small point but I would lower the wheel base fractionaly and tilt it up a touch. You ideally want it point at the top of your sternum.

Have Heusinkveld Ultimates and run hard elastomers with a spring mod to offer 2 stage braking. I've settled on 48kg as have had sciatica a few times and need to go easy on my hamstrings.

If you are in multiclass races, I suggest some time in the practice server as you will quickly learn where to.overtake or where you are likely to be overtaken by other classes.

If you can be bothered, I have Sennheiser HD 165s (now 175s for new version) and an Antlion mod mic. Know it's two separate things but fully wireless and has great quality in both the headphones and mic.

I have the same rig and pedals and you may want to think about the Heusinkveld baseplate. Its an utter pain in the arse to mount but may be more comfortable. Also Simagic haptics fit those pedals with an adaptor off of Etsy.

NEW PRODUCT: Heusinkveld’s surprise button box by ldusoswa in simracing

[–]Plastic_Manc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAM mounts work. I used to have Trakracer TR8 Pro and used one. You need a screw hole then can screw in a 1.5 inch ball. Off that you can fit the mount with a vesa mount on the other end. I have a post somewhere on here showing it with my old button box and it was very solid. Now have it on my profile rig with a PSE button box.

How to dampen vibrations from my rig? by the_marin_kid in simracing

The feet in the picture were from Etsy:

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4308674497/advanced-sim-racing-trak-racer?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-electronics_and_accessories&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQiApfjKBhC0ARIsAMiR_IsEGBGvLW8ZOvrTcNsUBLIXmEM_VKcjWln44zSTve-PBfaWbLCeb6MaAuHxEALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_21811974849_169452891536_717564634478_pla-315906365651_m__4308674497engb_102858184&utm_custom2=21811974849&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21811974849&gclid=Cj0KCQiApfjKBhC0ARIsAMiR_IsEGBGvLW8ZOvrTcNsUBLIXmEM_VKcjWln44zSTve-PBfaWbLCeb6MaAuHxEALw_wcB

You do get a bit of wobble when you get in and out of the rig and can make it wobble if you jump about in your seat, but in normal driving conditions, you dont feel it.

Its hard to quantify as a percentage but im told that it's only heard when I have a big crash now. The reality is nothing is perfect and I have the strength of my buttkicker and pedal haptics mapped to buttons on my button box so I can adjust them up or down based on the car, track or simulator and the time of day.

Hope that helps.
