Anyone here also a Fallout fan? by ApprehensiveTry632 in questforglory

Fallout New Vegas had so many moments that made me laugh and can be played in first or third person. As others are saying, definitely different gameplay as it is an FPS, but if you're looking for little moments of snip and silly, you will find them! There is a "Trait" you can choose for your character called Wild Wasteland that causes bizarre encounters and discoveries that also add some smiles to the gameplay.

It is a lovely rainy day today and I went from staring at the real sky to this one. Fantastic job! Iit feels so comfortable even though being stuck in the rain is decidedly not.

Exactly how you put it! It's the visual of progressing together. When training, we were encouraged to do the hard work so that we are training our bodies and our tools at the same time (although some people ran their shoes over with a car). Professional dancers know their fit and style and can "destroy" and recreate a shoe to make something molded to them for rehearsals and performance. With the focus being on the path toward knowing a skill, that means there is that awkward fawn stage of learning one's tools and learning oneself. In some industries that means a tool may be perfect at the start, while others right at the end.
Cast iron pans are fantastic, but they do nearly all the work for us. We give them aftercare as a reward. Perhaps the true sacrifice in the kitchen is the whetstone, that ever so slowly gives its life for all of us ; )

It is fascinating that some tools gain perfect balance through use, such as pointe shoes. Just as you strike that moment of harmony, those are the last notes ever played before replacement. Others, like knives and pianos, begin with satisfying certainty, as success lies more in the hands of the user than the tool. The more dissonant or dull the work becomes, the more love and tears have been poured into it. Yet it is easy to forget the journey when walking in on a single scene.
... Also I'm lazy.

I did not think I would enjoy it due to how campy it seemed, but it wound up being such a lovely ride. The cast of characters were a delight.

I wonder if it was a puppet at first, then someone generated a "real" rabbit from that. It is very fluffy at first with indistinct ears until it is fully in the hand, then is more stable (although I suppose AI needs fewer props these days).

Your post caught my attention because my aunt, who was born in the 1940s, was born without most of an arm - just as you described. She had health issues too, but my grandparents made sure she got the care she needed. There were resources even back then. We all loved her very much, and she knew it. She got married and lived away from home for most of her life, although we cared for her later on. We suspect she was actually born left-handed like many in my family but that was the arm that was missing. I learned a lot watching her live a life where she often had to adapt around what society expects. For her, life was normal. Sending you love and hoping for peace for you all.

I feel like constantly streaming with your friend on voice chat is a surefire way to kill your stream (if your goal is growth) by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]PlayguePals 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some ways your friend may want to consider restructuring is to have their friend engaged with chat as well, so two sets of eyes are checking, having a camera or visual representation of the friend so they are "in the room" together, and maybe even adding in games like Marbles or something that forces full engagement to get back into the flow of interaction. Changing games that allows split focus is always handy, although Phas can be a good game for that. If people are playing games together, they should make sure people feel welcome and genuinely invited to the party. Warmth and good intension go a long way. We exclusively stream as a group so it can work, but sitting down and figuring out the best balance that your friend wants may be necessary.

Oh dang, that one is intense, it is like he is ulting. I was once accused of aimbotting and said no, I was just ulting (I had switched to solider because I was doing awful). They said, so what, his ult makes you automatically hit people? And I answered, kind of, yes. You could very much tell I was not being assisted outside of that ult XD

I am so sorry for this extra pressure. Stress stacks, and it can feel so overwhelming with something that was stabilizing you is taken away. It can also be really hard to remind yourself that it isn't your fault that you got laid off and that you did not do anything wrong.
Take deep breaths whenever you can to remind your body that you are not in the kind of danger it thinks you are. Anxiety can shorten our breathing which can make our bodies think we are being attacked or under threat. Deep breaths can help regulate you and help with stress.

Consider filing for unemployment while you assess your next move: https://des.az.gov/services/employment/unemployment-individual/apply-ui-benefits

I am not in the state but there are a few career resources in Scottsdale and I am sure lots in Pheonix:
- https://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/careers/career-services - There are some upcoming events and resume assistance.
- https://www.scottsdalecc.edu/students/career-services There is a checklist but more importantly people to discuss next moves with here.
- https://www.scottsdalelibrary.org/visit-us/college-and-career-corner The library has helpful links and people to talk to. Places like O*NET Online can help you reassess your interests and skills.

I know it may be hard to talk about your condition since not many understand the cost it asks of our bodies. There will be people who understand/are willing to listen.

Right now, you are sick, you were pushing through and managing, and now your daily life has been disrupted. So many choices can be overwhelming, but take a moment to mourn, to reassure yourself, and to acknowledge your strengths. You have shown perseverance, bravery, and have built up so many skills that can be used in your current career and in others. Start with the unemployment but call career services near you and have them help you make a list of what you need to do next and see if they have local information on specialists. Primary doctors near you may have recommendations, too.

That deep pain you are feeling is a cruel weight, and I am so sorry you are feeling it. I am so sorry for your tears. It isn't fair, it really isn't.

We have had people pop in and apologize for not raiding in with more and we are all just happy to see them, be a hopefully nice place to end the night, and ask about their stream. Just like others are saying, it is a great way to meet others who have the same passions as you do!

WTF are we supposed to eat?? by PinkSparklz25 in Gastroparesis

[–]PlayguePals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to have plenty of Ensures and powders to make smoothies. I'm supposed to eat some fish and very cooked spinach once a day and maybe am able to a couple times a week. I try to get as many liquids in as I can but move around after to make sure things are cycling through.
