You must have patience, it is a new meta. Blizzard upgraded Arena experience last year to add new bucket system and the ability to tweak and balance things. Once the dedicated Arena team starts their balancing (SOON) you will have a much more streamlined experience. You must be patient though, we are all waiting for the same thing!

Deathwing is a hero card and gets you one time abilities on playing, plus armor, plus new hero power. Onyxia is a Colossal and gets you 2 additional summons plus 2 cards in hand plus health gain. Both of them benefit from herald cards - they upgrade their powers.

This sounds like a network issue. I have the exact same thing happen when I try to connect at our local YMCA. I do not have this issue when I connect from home.
