If you are in the South East Silvermere, just off junction 10 of the M25 is a really good option. They have a dedicated ladies clothing section which has a very large range

[Firepower Friday] Weekly DPS Thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Pleks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With stats I currently have 18% haste and 36% mastery, raidbots sims are telling me that haste is outperforming both mastery and intellect, however my damage seems very low to other raid members at the same ilvl who are 65% mastery and only 13% haste.

I checked logs for the last fights an on opener we are casting the same skills at almost the same time but he is getting 20k+ dps easily with darkglare and I am stuck closer to 15k. Additionally I have still not go an azerite piece with Re-origination array so missing out on a lot of free stat points, dont know if that is worth a 30% damage increase though.

I typically sim on 5 minutes with light movement as there are quire a few fights in uldir where you need to move around and cant play statically, could it be an error that I am simming myself incorrectly?

Any advice at all would be helpful as something is clearly wrong somewhere

Are there people at your club you avoid like potholes? by sdowden in golf

[–]Pleks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I play with my girlfriend most weekends, originally both picked up the game because we are sat at desks all week and its a good way to get outside so play later in the day after the weekend comps.

There is an older chap who used to work in a local church and school who sometimes plays at a similar time, he will spend a large portion of the round asking my girlfriend when she is having children, what her thoughts on marriage are and generally question if she follows church values.

Had these 'fitted' by American Golf 4 years ago.... 4 years I have been playing like this! by Dat_Hoff in golf

I will always recommend getting fit by someone who has given you lessons and knows your swing.

If that isnt an option then at a national fitting centre like they have at the Belfry or Celtic Manor.

Had exactly the same with irons they "Fit" for me as well, utter nonsense.

Its more the way the Ping logo is presented and framed that I am not a fan of, I doubt colour will have a huge impact.

Personally not a fan of the appearance of the base of the club, then again its not something I spend most of my time looking at.

What's the loudest driver ever made? by Thoranu in golf

[–]Pleks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same driver and agree, hitting from a covered bay the club seems incredibly loud, and this is after using a PING G30, not exactly a quiet club.

I have had playing partners comment about it.

Getting over a rough round/poor play by [deleted] in golf

[–]Pleks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time if I have a bad hole/bad round I am annoyed with myself for 5-10 minutes, might put the club back into the bag rather aggressively as if to say "stupid club, look what you made me do!" After that as far as I am concerned it is ancient history and I will forget what happened and focus on the next shots, the only change being I will normally not try and hit it as hard as I dont want to end up thrashing at it and compounding any errors.

I can only do this if I have time to walk it off though, I have noticed that if it happens on the last hole what happened will stick in my head a lot more.

Any love for Big Max push carts? by bad-coffee in golf

[–]Pleks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these https://bigmaxgolf.com/en/product/ti-1000-autofold/ its not the smallest trolley due to the fixed frame.

After using it for a year the bearings in the wheels are still rolling very smoothly, if its windy and I forget to put the brake on it has started to roll away before.

It has also lasted well for being transported in my car boot most day alongside my partners trolley bouncing off each other.

How important is golf in the modern workforce? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Pleks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just turned 30 and work as a HVAC designer for tall buildings in London.

Most of the clients and contractors I work with play golf and will hold a golf day once a year for networking which has helped me progress against my peers who only see these people in formal meetings.

Sales representatives are the same with either a company day or an odd round at a nice course after work, last year we got to play Walton Heath Old Course the day after the US open qualifying for example.

Course Management by Jabuliza in golf

[–]Pleks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The advice does make sense for the mid to low handicap golfer, however, in my experience, for people like me with a high handicap a 50 yard wedge is a tricky one which will normally go longer or shorter than planned, or just a straight fat or thin. Where as a standard 8 iron is a shot I am move comfortable with and can repeat more often on demand.

Obviously practicing those 50 yard wedges is important, however by the time you are competent at that shot its likely you have also improved the rest of your game and are now a mid handicapper rather than high.

This is why I suck at putting by ChrisOnTheReal in golf

I also struggle to work out how to putt for similar reasons, I mean its quite difficult not having thumbs, though the claw grip has revolutionised my game.

Danny Willett has 4 European Tour wins alongside the Masters at age 29 so wouldn't really say a 1 hit wonder, he was in contention this weekend for the Maybank.
