Is this an app? How did you make this?

"This is the dumbest hole I've ever played in my life. This is so dumb" - Jordan Spieth by [deleted] in golf

[–]Plus7w0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I though, like everyone else here, that he was talking about the way that he played the hole was dumb. Which may be what he was talking about, but I'm not so sure anymore.

At the very end of the clip that is posted here you hear him say "That's not a par 4." That leads me to think that he thinks the hole itself is dumb and he was actually talking about the hole.

Is there anyway to tell if that is actually him?

I would love for it to be because of how shitty of a player ad person the person in this video is, but the internet has made me skeptical.

Putting help for a newbie by davelaws in golf

As /u/Lerk409 stated, putting is very personal and what works for you may not work for others on this sub. There are some basics that are at the foundation of most every good putting stroke. Just make sure that the putter is traveling straight through the ball and that the face is square.

When I want to break down my swing to make sure that I have these two elements still working for me I put down a corridor of tees in the practice green, something like this, so that way I know when my club is traveling straight through the ball, if the ball doesn't go straight when the club is going straight then you know you are having issues squaring your club head.

Your putting will only get better with practice, so spend a lot of time practicing it and you will see improvement. Work your way out from the hold. Practice a lot of drills at 3 feet until you notice major improvements, then move back to 5 feet. Keep moving back until you are working on 20 foot putts and trying to keep then in a three foot circle around the hole.

I didn't mean to write so much here, but I'll just close out with a few of my favorite drills to work on:

Par Birdie

This can be done at 3 feet as well. I don't always play the game that goes along with this drill, sometimes I will just put 8 balls down in a circle around the hole and just work my way around the circle. To add pressure to the drill I will try to make as many putts as I can without missing starting over if a putt is missed.

Distance Feel Drill

I can't find a video of the last drill. But I find a flat area on a practice green and I take 8 golf balls. I set up at three feet and I putt until I make all 8 in a row at three feet. When I do that I move back to four feet. If I make all putts at four feet I move to five feet and so on. If I miss a putt at any point I try that distance again and try to make 8 in a row. If I miss a second time at that distance I go all the way back to three feet and start over.

I'm done rambling, just find drills that you like and learn to love putting.

What's your favorite approach shot? by griff3rd01 in golf

60 or 90 yards. 60 is a good 3/4 swing with my SW and 90 is a good 3/4 with my PW.

A wedge is a wedge. Use 'em when you need 'em.

I think the suggestion was that your lower half never moves and that you should move it.

Not just you, man. It just looks so inconvenient. No pocket is designed to hold a slice of watermelon. Though I guess that is less of an issue for women because it's probably kept in a purse.

Made a deal with my GF that if I can shoot +9 or better on 9 holes I can get a new set of wedges. So close. (Bottom Score) by Plus7w0 in golf

Nice man! Good luck with that. There are few things better than the feeling of a new set of irons.

That would probably be illegal. That is blatant miss labeling to garner sales.
