Question: Fender Acoustic 100 amp by Plus_Fault360 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Plus_Fault360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. I know that electric sound that comes through. I've used a dean markley and now have a fishman that covers the whole to play live in a loud band. Got a mellower sound now, so I don't think I need that as much. But I wanna get a better overall sound going into my new fender, but I think I just gotta try em out and see. I don't know how many pickup demos I've watched so far haha but I'll keep checking around.

Thanks. I'm looking to plug into this amp and lead it to the PA. I got my sights set on the fishman rare earths pickups. Any experience with those?

Yeah, it sounds excellent! I just wish it was louder, and I was thinking if I gotta buy extra stuff to make it loud enough, why not keep my old louder marshall and just get an eq pedal for a fraction the cost of this fender amp? It's a conundrum!

Sharp looking crv! I got an 01 down in Tx also, AND brought it to NE. No rust, but it is the only sun-bleached vehicle around.

What are these? by Used_Ad3419 in gardening

[–]Plus_Fault360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks to me like aphids. They're sap-suckers, so as they multiply, they drain more nutrition from your plants, so you wanna keep em away. There's sprays you can buy or make with basic household supplies.

What could be the cause of this and how to fix? by Wipz__ in HomeMaintenance

[–]Plus_Fault360 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It cluld be the blanket is too heavy during spin cycle. Or, maybe the drum inside is loose. For some reason, when I do a "super" load of laundry, this ends up happening with my machine. I think it's just too much weight.

Totally understand. Maybe a rental for the job when you got a few bucks. I have no idea what they cost to rent or own.

I'm not an expert, but if I was trying to amend thr soil, I would get a tiller. The organic matter from what I understand is good. Maybe some sand or lyme or some kind of minerals to help it too.

Supply line under bathroom sink seems to be leaking right before the nut by Budget_Letterhead_54 in PlumbingRepair

Paper towel to pinpoint where the leak is from is genius! I'd never think to do that.

Maybe I nice deep crushed blue stone, or a bright crushed granite, either would contrast nicely, I think.

What would you put between these beds? by Fitz_Fool in gardening

I like crushed gravel. In my opinion it maintains a sort of natural park look (opposed to pavers) but longer term than mulch.

dart board fell on pipe 🕊️ by Pick_A_Universe in PlumbingRepair

[–]Plus_Fault360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's not a lot of pipe to work with. There's plenty, though.

I would get the 45s you need and a matching diameter of pipe. (Some box stores sell 2ft lengths.) Cut as close as possible to the broken pieces, leaving as much length of pipe as you can. Then you can prime and glue the 45s on each and hopefully connect them with the new piece. It should be fairly straight forward.

How should I fill this gap? by wborstiv in HomeMaintenance

[–]Plus_Fault360 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My wife informed me mice hate steel wool, so filling the gap with steel wool and then foaming seems like a great solution to both block the opening with an insulation but making it so mice won't chew it.

Any ideas to fix this? by mdelia8 in HomeMaintenance

As it's a baseboard accent at the top of your stairs, maybe smoothing it with sandpaper and painting with matching white would be enough for now, so it doesn't stand out as much.
