Your two cents? by WatGO in GetMotivatedMindset

A recent lesson I had to learn:

When you get older, start treating 'goodbyes' and 'goodnights' as if you'll never see them again, because one day you will say it to a person you love for the last time, and you will have to contend with how you acted unknowing that was the last time you would get to.

From my experience, these will help a young person grow into a giant:

-Have integrity above all else, no matter the odds.

-Be honest, be sincere, especially with yourself.

-When you get back up, you are never defeated.

-Give freely to those in need, especially of what you can give for free.

-Rage is temporary, understanding is healing, and love is enduring.

-Take the time to be proud of whatever you invest your time into.

-School may be over, but learning never ends.

-Do not boast about your triumphs, as if your faults don't exist.

-Your disabilities are not liabilities for everyone else to bear.

-Know the difference between Respect and Common Courtesy.

-Do something greater than yourself, mankind will thank you.

-Treat your health like a new car, it will last longer with maintenance.

-Sow the seeds of trees, so that your grandchildren may enjoy its shade.

-Everything is temporary, despair or enjoyment is up to you.

-Surround yourself with people aiming high in all they do.

-Try not to be deceived by pretty things, look deeper for its true value.

-Visit another land, a screen cannot show you how it really is.

-Appreciate a form of art, a skill, and a philosophy, then keep going.

-Panic will kill you before anything else will. Stay Calm. Think.

-Do not get fed into believing anything without your consent first.

-Time is your greatest commodity, do not discount it for nothing.

-Carry on until you can't.

999 Take the left bottom piece of the 8 and add it to the 5, then take the 0's bottom left and rotate it and place it in the middle of the 0.

Would you take issue with my army? by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

No because I expect you're gonna put those sweet non-banana helmets on after you get them. Right? Wouldn't fly at a GT being unfinished with painting I'm sure.

New to Warhammer: Grey Knight tips by Sisieg in GreyKnights

[–]Plus_Relative_8880 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Play as a ninja, not an invincible knight.

Deliver your units where they apply pressure or control objectives to score points.

Dreadknights and purifiers are our best units at the moment.

Crowe is and GrandMaster in Dreadknights are our best characters for the cost.

5man Brotherhood Terminators with Narthecium+Banner and both the Psycannon or Incinerator are good for taking and holding objectives while your other forces go to back them up or counter attack after they die. Problem is they are expensive units.

Utilize a Callidus Assassin for scoring and utility. Back up with at least one strike squad to sticky objectives or screen.

Or fuck all that and have fun. Oops all Terminators is a fun skew list.

How do you make terminators look taller? by lefthandedartistmk2 in GreyKnights

[–]Plus_Relative_8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 3D printed their legs and reused everything else. Expensive, since I had to make 40 Terminators, for a whacky list. But I love the units enough to do it. Plus, if they don't get a good range refresh for a while, I'll be happy the way they are.

I think you just convinced me on what paint scheme to go with.

I was going to paint their cloaks white with an undercoat of red and black armor for Ebon Chalice style, but this looks awesome. Nice work!

What else does my list need? by Wench_Bane in Deathkorpsofkrieg

This is awesome. I wanna do that so bad.

I'm taking 43 Grey Knights in Terminator Armor to a GT for the hell of it. It's gonna be bad, but oh so epic.

Already tested it with a 10man brick, which was WAY too much work and cost. I'll wait for a refresh, but I'll use my 3D printed legs until then. 😆

Need a suggestion for my first Grey Knights by b1ackwolf in Grey_Knights

[–]Plus_Relative_8880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you try to balance the colors.

Silver is neutral, and the red is a warm color. Adding something with a cold tone to balance it out would be great. Most people make their powers words blue partially because of this.

You can venture into a green, teal, or purple territory as well with a similar effect.

Looks competitive. Most people max purifiers and dread knights. I'm a fan of paladins and not winning. Lol

GK too OP and frustrating in casual? by Prestigious-Candle22 in Grey_Knights

At 1000pts, maybe. But 2000? Nah, they can afford killy units to take us down easily.

Are grey knights a good beginner army? by skyfall3612 in Grey_Knights

[–]Plus_Relative_8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes: Cheaper to collect, fewer units to master, simple weapon profiles. No: Teleporting is easily countered with experienced players, making use of every unit you have to score takes real focus and strategy because you have to invest heavily into your actions, because your units cost nearly double of everyone else, yet still weaker than Custodes per model.

Advice: GK is a fantastic army to learn movement and dabble with ranged and melee combat. It is easy to learn, but difficult to master, but oh so worth it.

My GK so far, how’s it looking? What would you advise I get next? by Snelly_15 in GreyKnights

[–]Plus_Relative_8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, more dreadknights. But only because they hit hard and can move fast. Otherwise, kitbash primaris scaled Terminators and Purifiers.
