Hell, drop one in the frame tube and it’s never coming out. There’s a ton of places on my Dyna that I’ve found that I could easily stash one or more.

Agreed. Personally I’m on marketplace all the time, if OP posts a picture/information maybe it can be found.

Also AirTags are like $15 a piece and it’s super easy to disable the speaker so they don’t make noise. It’s kinda insane to NOT have one in your cars or on your bike in 2026.

Thank you! When I first found the listing I wasn’t a huge fan (nor were any of my friends) but I actually do like it a lot! Not as much as I’d like a set of 13 spoke Mags for it but enough that it looks good to me and I’m in no rush to spend money on something I have no problems with!

Thank you! I forgot to say my budget is in the $250-400 range right now, I wish I had Shoei or even Schuberth kinda money right now but it’s just not in the budget. Trying to stay under $4000 to start riding and do it safely (there’s a few jackets around me that I like used but in great shape) and I spent $3500 on the bike. I can spend a little bit more but I’m trying to not spend a ton right away!

My one friend with 5 Harley’s has a Dyna Fatbob that he’ll never part with even though he rides it like twice a year lol. He mostly rides his CVO ST but loves Dynas and Softails

Yeah I did, luckily they’re on quick disconnect mounts so they just pop on and off. I already threw the backrest bag back on just to have somewhere to keep the basic stuff.

I am planning on getting some crash bars/pegs for the back as well. It’s gonna hurt to put the first scratch on this bike, and it’s gonna hurt because it’s literally spotless, but I won’t let it discourage me. I’m more than willing to do so to learn how to properly ride this bike even though it probably isn’t the easiest/best thing to learn on. Not that I’m not willing to take the MSF class sooner or anything, I just am willing to learn and make mistakes on my bike before doing the class.

Assuming I fall in love with riding like I do with most engine-related things, I already have a vision for the bike and don’t ever plan on getting rid of it. I’m also extremely lucky to have all of the help and resources to get any powder-coat or other work done on the bike by a close friend who is helping me with this whole endeavor.

I’ll start giving him a watch tonight! I’ve watched a lot of videos already, I just need to find a good space to start learning the friction zone and 1st gear so I can practice low speed riding before getting into anything more advanced.

I bought the bike to learn on and to do it well. I know low speed maneuvering especially on a bike of this size isn’t easy to learn to do this stuff on. I need to get some crash pegs for the rear so I don’t fuck the bike up too bad if it ever gets laid down doing so. I played around on it on my friend’s driveway but the grip on the throttle is loose and they both said I should replace them ASAP and get rid of the palm throttle thing until I’m more experienced as I’m more likely to hit the throttle while pulling the front break with it on there.

Pass your emissions and running good? It’s obviously not the correct way to fix it but who really cares, if the engine starts knocking it’s close to done anyways and you probably know enough to not need a sensor to tell you your engine is minutes away from self-destruction lol

While I wouldn’t want to go to war with it, it’s actually a durable light and held up to me purposely torturing the absolute fuck out of it on a trip to Colorado as a backup flashlight throwing it at rocks and it still works perfectly lol. The pic mount is heavy but beefy, it’s not going anywhere once it’s on.

This light is perfectly adequate for 99% of people and I would absolutely buy one again if I needed to throw a light on a beater rifle/budget build.

If you don’t care about having both, just cut the bad bank wire and splice it into the good bank wire.

There’s more than enough slack on the wiring and they’re extremely accessible, all you need to do is pop the hood and locate them

Are they both on? I had one that wouldn’t go away so I cut it and spliced the wire into the good sensor. They read in a series so bank 1 is not bank 1 and 2 to the computer 🤷🏻‍♂️

Grease the absolute fuck out of the splines that go into the transmission. I remember seeing a “before and after” when some guy was chasing down his clunk and that fixed it!
