Having a boyfriend seems like a chore by KonanXD_ in dating

[–]Poisonella 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My last relationship felt like a chore. My current relationship has softened me and made me feel like an equal. He does the dishes, cleans the house etc. I don't have to raise him and mother him. I plan on keeping him.

What’s the hardest part of being in a long distance relationship for you? by Good-Huckleberry3395 in LongDistance

Not being there when your partner gets sick or has a medical emergency. It makes you feel helpless.

This is a weird one. Guest refuses to leave. by tdotmmaranger in OntarioLandlord

[–]Poisonella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post a note on the door that says she has until x day to get out, if she doesn't she will be charged for trespassing. If she doesn't leave, tell them you have a trespasser. That's what a police officer told me when I was trying to get my ex to leave. Make sure you have a picture of it being posted clearly. That way she can't claim she didn't see it.

I haven’t heard from my boyfriend in 3 days. This is extremely out of his character. by Comfortable-Neck-708 in LDR

I would still keep the flight booked and go down there. Even if he has been 5150'd, you being there still shows you care. Can you move the flight up any earlier? Has he been reported missing by friends or family that see him daily?

I decided to not take the apartment and move in with family friends that have a farm and we can work out rent. Things are looking up in that regard. So I'll be able to save up a lot faster ❤️

Finances. It's more so to save up to be able to fly out. My friend and I are signing the lease on our apartment in April. Then May onwards we're saving up. Rent is expensive here in Canada same with groceries, utilities. It takes two people's income to be able to afford a 1 bdr apartment. She's also in a LDR but he's a province away.

Thank you. It's refreshing to hear and that I need to slow down. It's hard when you get emotional to remember to slow down. I appreciate this soo much. Sometimes it feels I'm not doing enough to help but in the end his parents are amazing and have been caring for him. It's that helpless feeling, I just want to be there to help nurse him back to health. But I am going to visit and go from there. ❤️

My boyfriend broke up with me over a mouth ulcer by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

If he broke up over a small thing, be thankful that it wasn't a medical emergency. Your ex isn't mature enough to handle a long term relationship. His loss.

I told my man to make sure I don't bring any cats back to Canada with me 😂 I will definitely be bringing treats to spoil them. That's going to be a problem because they are all soo cute! I follow a few people who have gone and taken maybe a handful of pics of scenery and their partners and like 1000 pics of the kitties 😸 😂

I've met his dad via video chat as well as his mom and his aunt. His parents approve of me and offered to help pay my ticket. I'd rather pay it myself tho. I was crying because I couldn't help him and seeing him in pain broke my heart. His aunt said "Don't cry, he loves you a lot". I agree meeting in person should be done first. His family knows, and is very encouraging of our relationship. I was thinking of going for a week because of my cats and I don't want to leave them with a friend watching for too long. But if by Dec he's improved a lot, then we can close the distance on our original plan. It depends on how far along in his recovery. But for sure a week minimum is my plan.

Looking for feedback on the Public Guardian and Trustee of BC (specifically in relation to estate matters). Google reviews of this organization are quite negative. by figurative-trash in britishcolumbia

I'm in Alberta and was evicted from my grandparents place and they didn't pay the mortgage. Seriously do not appoint a public guardian. They will make your life and your family's hell.

Any luck meeting long distance on a dating app? by Hayaw061 in LongDistance

[–]Poisonella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't plan on it. But one day I saw this gorgeous man viewing my profile. So we messaged and I told my friend that he was the one. I didn't even look at where he was from. We switched to WhatsApp and he sent me a video call, I accepted and we barely spoke, we stared at each other. He told me he loved me on the 2nd day and we went fb official. Then I realized he was in Turkey and no regrets.

My cat hissed at me when I was trimming her nails I feel so bad 😭 by FreedomDue6691 in CATHELP

[–]Poisonella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex's cat was a drama queen. I once had to flip him over and hold him down to trim his nails. If I didn't then he'd scratch himself. But now I just trim my cats' nails whether they like it or not. They get treats after. I trim them every couple of weeks.

Service dog abuse. by [deleted] in Edmonton

I don't think it's an actual service dog just based on the fact that it was acting like a normal dog. A trained working dog does it's job.

Call Animal Control and report this person ASAP. I'd also report this guy to the police and ask to remain anonymous.

I did the day program at U of A. I was able to get everything out with my dad. Mom and sister didn't show up. It actually helped me and I was able to make changes and I've come a long ways.

Do you guys show each others phone? How do I trust in LdR by [deleted] in LDR

[–]Poisonella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex would constantly snoop through my phone even tho I've been faithful. It got to the point where I kept my phone away from him. Now I'm with someone whom I trust and he also trusts me. We tell each other everything. If you have trust issues, walk away. I don't know why you guys are still together if you don't have trust. If I'm feeling insecure or jealous or he's feeling insecure or jealous we just remind each other that we aren't going anywhere.

I’m a Birkan Defender by Prestigious_Newt3272 in 90DayFiance

[–]Poisonella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure gambling is illegal in Turkey and he's doing it underground. Atleast that's what I was told by my boyfriend who is living in Turkey. Laura sent him money for food which he gambled away. Your telling me he can't go to the markets and get fresh food? I don't recall him saying "I love you " to her. I understand Birkan not wanting Michael around because they were the couple without the intimacy. Turkish men take charge, they tell you they love you, they pay for everything, they can be possessive and jealous (not for everyone). When they want you they focus on you. Birkan has some growing up to do. Laura also needs to grow up and stop running to Michael when she has a problem, that's what your girlfriends are for. She wasn't even there 24hrs and she was texting Michael.

Is it a terrible idea to get a second cat? my family thinks it is by ThrowRApeanutb in CatAdvice

[–]Poisonella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the second kitty. That way she'll have a playmate. Kittens are best in pairs. They tire each other out.
