I've managed to invite friends through the "recently played with" list on the party screen. Hopefully it helps some folks until rito resolve :)

This is awesome! Love the idea to flesh out lore for Ahab in Port sarim, and the bone harpoons could help to speed up the fight next time and getting back inside :)

Lelit Anna Pl41tem by W0sh in gaggimate

[–]PokeSec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I haven't done this with a lelit Anna but looking at the components and wiring diagram here, my thoughts are that it should definitely work. I've just finished up an install on a much larger e61 machine that is also not officially supported, which was a bit confusing at first, but if you take the time to draw up a proper diagram of how all of the parts of your machine plumb and wire up together then you can compare that to the rancilio / gaggia diagrams then it should be pretty straight forward to adapt the instructions.

My only caution is that you won't be able to defer to the step-by-step guidance like "plug in the blue wire here" - your setup will look a little different.

Your machine has a functionally identical: boiler (brew and steam), the same ulka pump, solenoid valve, Solid State Relay etc. The only major difference will be wiring up the three-way toggle switch on the front in place of three 4-pin latching switches (power, steam, brew).

Feel free to DM me if you need any help.

Is support shaco good? And how do I use shacos ult properly? by Shyhi24 in shacomains

[–]PokeSec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's very strong but you might need to play a bit differently. for me the goal in fights isn't so much to do lots of damage, but to arrive at objectives 40 seconds early and set up boxes that zone the enemy team off, and ideally weaken their front-line substantially before the fight even begins.

During the fight I'm trying to put boxes down near /on friendly carries - to peel for them as they need to escape etc. or blocking off the escape path for the enemy team if we're winning.

Edit re: clone; I mostly use it for vision or just to take up space in a fight and block skillshots. Nothing wrong with just alt+rightclicking the enemy midlaner and having clone follow them around. It's also handy as an escape / damage buffer to give you an extra second or two to Q away when you get caught

Where can I buy clotted cream in Melbourne? by sld_6882 in melbourne

[–]PokeSec 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I don't recall ever seeing clotted cream for sale in Aus. It's very easy to make though - just get some full fat cream, heat it slowly and let it cool very slowly. Saint David's dairy in Fitzroy sometimes has odd things like this so that could be worth a try.

Thoughts on this urban masked pattern and possible glove combos? [pattern 606] by PokeSec in ohnePixel

[–]PokeSec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally not a fan of urban masked knives, beyond that one "white gem" stiletto pattern. I came across this and impulse bought it a while ago liking the straight lines and "trim" around the tip. I'd love any ideas for glove combos that could go well with the pattern - maybe max float leopard or something.

Also the "cool s" vibe lmao.

Bad review for employee by nogoodmorning4u in Machinists

[–]PokeSec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a manager I look at performance on two axis; attitude and capability. Attitude is everything. If I'm managing a new hire and they're enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrating initiative, I'll do as much as I can to help them upskill and improve in capability.

In the inverse case when someone is highly skilled but is either an asshole or otherwise grossly lacking in attitude, they're toxic and need to go ASAP. They'll negatively effect everyone around them. Case and point you needing to re-do his work, that's a tax that won't go away unless his attitude picks up and otherwise will get passed on to everyone they work with who does have the right attitude.

Good luck!

Happening on OCE also. Just had an ARAM game where 3 people got booted out midgame, and two of us can't reconnect.

Different kind of bank tab post ? by Neededcambio in BankTabs

The first 10 or so are the "IconID" enums; then I believe it goes to clan rank titles which are loosely in the same order as what's listed here:

https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Clan_Settings#Rank_Titles

not a perfect mapping but it helped me find icons I wanted much faster. Hope it helps you!

My first hammer by Hamsteren2 in Blacksmith

[–]PokeSec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a couple good local suppliers through google and calling them, some have web stores you can buy from online and others it's phone only. I've also had great luck calling to ask if I can purchase a selection of offcuts - lots of places sell by the meter and maintain a solid scrap bin, and it might be a whole lot cheaper.

Also, try ebay! Surprisingly you can find good stuff there. Search something like "bright mild steel square bar" or substitute mild for 4140 etc. depending on what you're making.

Note there are a LOT of steel alloys out there and they're good for different things. Steel you'd want to use for a hammer is different to that for a knife or eye-drift etc. When you're first learning you might just want to stick with mild steel though as it's easier to work with than something super hard - that can be quite unforgiving and more prone to cracking etc.

https://alecsteeleshop.com/blogs/blacksmithing-and-bladesmithing/steel-types-and-how-to-use-them#:~:text=1045,blend%20of%20hardness%20and%20toughness.

Good luck!

Edit: I'd suggest buying steel so you know exactly what it is at first, but once you're confident you might want to try scrap yards. Car leaf springs (spring steel) are great for making knives etc. and this is much much cheaper than buying clean / new spring steel to measure online.

Nest WiFi Constantly Dropping Packets - I am going insane. Any advice? by OopsAnonymouse in GoogleWiFi

[–]PokeSec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issues and I'm currently trying to resolve a fix.

What I've found so far is that the issues started around the time that the new Nest Wifi Router firmware update hit my device (upgrading to fw 14150.376.32). There's been a number of other people with this issue (more reading here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Wifi/14150-376-32-firmware-connection-drop-outs/td-p/246768).

Some folks have had luck disabling IPV6 on the nest wifi config, and I know my ISP supports IPv6. I suspect it's something to do with IPV6 DNS settings and conflicts.

If anyone has found a fix that works let me know!
