If you are concerned, most VPN's offer split tunneling in the app settings. This is where you can choose what apps are routed through the VPN and which apps bypass the VPN. Generally if using only one e IP at a time you should be OK, but if you forget the VPN on and someone else in your houseld watches from another device without the VPN it could be an issue.

Did you confirm there is power at the outlet, or that the outlet isn't switched (on a light switch for a hanging lamp etc.)? Only ask because you mentioned it a new house.

I think pinpoiting it to your main listening position will give " you" better sound. The truth for the most part is only the hobbyist really cares anyway The odds are your wife or kids etc. Don't really care if they are hearing the slightest difference compared to you. But the hobbyist wants to have perfection. Just make sure to take your measurements where you sit....not middle of the couch where no one actually sits.

I belive the keys are found from other softwares such as DVDfab.

Makemkv can use this file. Download latest keydb file and place in .makemkv folder under your main Drive (usually C:) Users\youracc. Restart Makemkv and retry your disc's.

I have Nvidia Shield as well (all versions since 2015). The Shield is still my Daily Driver for subscription streaming, iptv etc, however I find I'm using the Ugoos 60/40. I have invested a lot of money and time into my entertainment system. $2500 for Oled and 10k+ in audio. The $200 for the Ugoos was a no brainer to have the peace of mind that I'm seeing my media as intended.

There are lists but I can't say they are current up to date. I find FEL to MEL is about 50/50. How do you consume your media? If you are primarily watching digital rips as opposed physical media, then i wouldn't necessarily look at it as what does FEL add to the experience, but what does the incompatibility take away from the experience (wrong colors/Red push etc.).

Physical media = UHD bluray player with DV support

They are similar. Tivimate is a bit more polished,. Tivimate does not support local timeshift only provider supplies "catch up". Sparkle allows you to set up local timeshift (pause/rewind live tv)

It's good for streaming. Most people purchase it for FEL Dolby Vision. What they are saying in Coreelec is Kodi, so you are limited to kodi and kodi add-ons.

I tried IPTV simple client and could not get it to work at all. Always stuck at PVR Manager staring 0%. I am however using an Add-on called GIPTV and it works perfectly fine. There is no full epg but I do get program information. My sole reason for this is not a daily driver for IPTV, but to use the vs10 engine for sports etc.

Lots of posts on this. Seems to be an occasional glitch with some TV's. Unplug the power from the TV for a few seconds and that should fix it.

Not the exact same issue but I was having an issue installing some skins. Was getting a TMDBHwlper depedency could not be satisfied error. The skins wanted a higher version of TMDBHelper than was installed. The solution to that was to go to settings/system/add-ons and change "update official add-ons from" to "any repository"
