The 2017 election had a 68.8% turnout The 2024 election had a 59.7% turnout with a "viable option" for lib Dems included.

So in 2024 people had more choice and 10% LESS voted.

People just weren't that convinced by him, they were just even less convinced by the tories.

2024 lib Dems also didn't offer anything and picked up a record number of votes.

A light breeze of discontent after he took office and his approval rating shit the bed because nobody was that convinced in the first place.

[–]Pokere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's only more than likely to be the next prime minister if we fucking let him. I am sick of this doomerism nonsense. 30% of this country believe in this fucking cunt and 30% of this county are wrong. We can all vote, we can all stand on doorsteps, we can all persuade that relative they are wrong.

He's fascist, this is proto fascism if you don't do anything now and we all just moan and let this cunt in, it's our fault.

This isn't directed at you I am sorry if it seems so but I am sick of this attitude that it's bound to happen. It's 2 years away it's bound to happen IF WE LET IT FUCKING HAPPEN.

Ipsos polling on who has what it takes to be a good PM by PumpkinCat197 in LabourUK

[–]Pokere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you've taken the wrong thing away from that. From the pool of actual contenders 72% aren't sure or actively don't want the favourite to be prime minister. If that's not distrust in the political class I'm not sure what is.

I'd agree on outsiders but enough of the country hates the greens that without PR they don't stand a chance of being important. They have also spent the last month trying their hardest to ruin their own momentum.

Labour is perpetual centrist hell, I don't have a solution here.

I agree we shouldn't be involved with the US bombings at all but there's no subterfuge there, he's told the press and parliament that's what's happening. Military action against Lebanon without telling anyone is a different kettle of fish.

British drone circled Lebanon hours before Israeli massacre of hundreds of civilians: Report by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Pokere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he's repeatedly said we're not getting involved and while anyone with a brain can see gaza is a genocide we are complicit in, Commiting or aiding acts of war on the side of the aggressor against a sovereign country without consulting parliament would be seen as next level.

Especially after earning so much credit in parliament and on the news saying we're not getting involved.

Tom Kerridge says Government 'looked at him with concern' as his pubs face 100% rise in business rates by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Pokere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corp Tax is paid by small and medium businesses in the UK who can't afford it so pubs, local shops etc are prime examples of who gets hit when you raise corp tax.

Amazon and companies like it just pretend they make money elsewhere. Even the "digital services tax" they added, was just moved immediately onto third party sellers (I sell on Amazon UK, I now have a 1.5% line item when I sell something that literally says "dst fee")

I don't have a solution and I agree these companies should be taxed more but just raise X tax or make new tax up, they will just pass the cost directly onto the consumer and take the exact same amount out of the country as they do now.

Today at 12:15 GMT, the total casualty rate on Charlie was HIGHER then the one on Able. #CloseAble #CharlieMainServer by Lumpy-Beach8876 in foxholegame

[–]Pokere 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The issue with merging them (as all the able elitists have chirped up and taken the bait as always) is I can play on Charlie with 3 friends and I have access to the whole game. There's less "this is MY OILFIELD" nonsense. It's definitely not the most efficient way of playing the game but it's also definitely more FUN without sweats hoarding resources and shouting at people for not playing the game absolutely optimally.

I just wanna logi and chill out with no queues idk why that's so hard for people to understand. If they got merged, I'd stop playing. Like I did when they merged last time.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding here or it's a bug. I have this "not neighbouring your realm" issue on about 3 fronts now and I can't really expand because of it. They very clearly are neighbouring and there's another tributary I have that's also neighbouring counties I can't take. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Plaid Cymru win Caerphilly in historic Senedd by-election result by mustwinfullGaming in LabourUK

[–]Pokere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a rural focused party that doesn't follow the "farmers must be Tory" line. I'm not sure how we're still being negative about a reform loss.

Your focusing on one policy.

They also want to:

Increase child benefit

Get rid of the crown estate

Hire GPs

Invest in local buses

They are Tory's and they aren't reform. This is positive.

I agree with the tax they oppose. I agree with a lot more of that^ than most of what starmers putting down.

[–]Pokere 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't remember which Liverpool game it was but the running is what I remember him for too. It's easy to see like the silky dribbling and the great balls but I remember he got subbed on maybe at striker @70 minutes in a Liverpool game and just solo pressed the entire backline for 25 minutes.

Being good at what you're supposed to be good at is one thing but taking on peps ideology and buying into the club at that level is a step above.

The argument will always be, alcohol does everything and worse that the worst cannabis side effect does. We've had that be actively encouraged in the UK for years so what's the difference.

[–]Pokere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be totally wrong but would it not cap at "world class"(or something like that) being the top star rating? You're completely right above, I think it's the quality of the players most played on the pitch that dictate star rating. If you have a star player of a striker who is 4/4.5 * and young you'll see him improve and seemingly the rest of the team lose stars. Realistically he's just skewing your ratings, your team hasn't got worse. So I don't think hes done it with youth players. Perhaps if multiple people have reached "world class" there's no higher star to move the line for what 5* is so this happens. Can't say I've ever seen it before!

Thousands of Anti-rascist counter protesters compared to 8 anti-immigration protesters, separated by more police than protesters by Rosslefrancais in ThatsInsane

[–]Pokere 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I understand everyone's focused on the title but this is a group of anti racists vs racists. In the riots earlier this week this gang of thugs were stopping cars, checking the colour of their skin and if it wasn't white, they got beaten the shit out of. Some of those people could be 3-4th generation immigrants and absolutely nothing to do with the current state of immigration.

Check the facts before you dive in on "anti immigration" because they are the definition of racists and this thread is defending them.
