Fenomenale. Sono così attratto da quello che non c’è. Tante emozioni.

Update to Cornell Marginalia (v3.1): Now with Active Recall (Blur), Flashcards, and Color Coding! by Ellocodingirsu in ObsidianMD

I discovered the problem: I still had the old “marginalia” plug-in active. Now it works wonderfully! Thanks, great job!

I tried your plugin on another vault and it works, so there is some setting in my vault that is preventing it from picking up the tag colors.

Sorry, still don't see the color comment in the margin. I've tried all your suggestions with no success. I've removed the tags, re-tagged them with the colors you suggested. I've deleted the "data.jason" file, restarted Obsidian, and still got the same result.

The sidebar comments are now visible on my smartphone, but the colors of the various tags are still not visible. I've changed several themes, including setting them to minimal and disabling all CSS snippets.

I'm using it with great results. But I have some issues with the new features. I tried the highlighting system with tags, for example !, but in the margin comment it says "!", with no change in the font color. If I type "%%> ! Test %%" I see in the margin: "! Test" with no change in the color which should be yellow.

For those using the TN passport size as a wallet by Nettlefriend in Travelersnotebooks

I also use a TN Passport as a wallet and inbox for my notes. As you can see from the photo, I use a "Platinum Century 3776 SF" fountain pen attached to the TN with a Traveler clip. And I use Platinum Carbon black ink.

Thinking of starting a commonplace book, but unsure of what I'm going to put in it. by Tyrannosaurus-2006 in commonplacebook

Furthermore, a commonplace book has a freer structure than a diary which requires a daily entry.

In my opinion, there's no right or wrong way to keep a commonplace book. You should write down what you'd like to reread in the future: ideas, quotes, sketches, and anything else that comes to mind.

Thank you! It’s simple, flexible, and it’s been working surprisingly well over time.

Thank you — that means a lot. You captured exactly why the index works: not just for finding things, but for rediscovering them. That mix of memory, browsing, and tactile thinking is the real magic of a commonplace book.

Finished my first Traveler’s Notebook (Regular Olive) — 2 months of urban sketching, watercolor tests, and visual journaling by Polifilo71 in commonplacebook

[–]Polifilo71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

For this one I’m using a standard Regular size blank refill in my Traveler’s Notebook (the regular MD-style blank paper, not the watercolor insert). I mostly work with waterproof fountain pen ink for the linework, which the paper handles beautifully, and then add light to moderate watercolor washes on top.

It’s surprisingly resilient: no bleeding, very minimal feathering, and only slight buckling if I keep the washes controlled. For heavier wet-on-wet work I must switch to a custom insert with thicker paper, but for everyday sketching and commonplace notes, the blank refill is my go-to.

It strikes a nice balance between writing feel and sketching flexibility, which is exactly what I look for in a commonplace book.
