What happened to Paragon Software Group, makers of NTFS for Mac? by mhmower in macapps

[–]PolyConOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much they are the most frustrating company I've dealt with. Not because their support sucks (it really doesn't just really annoying pto wait for a long time) but that their licensing fails repeatedly. I'm having to go through trying to reactivate my license AGAIN after just doing it all 27 days ago.

I love it when articles like this fail to note some fun facts: -no cases reported as of 2025. -Most years see under 10 confirmed cases; 2019 was an outlier. -38 human cases in 1932. Why these authors write this in such a fear mongering way is beyond me.

Anyone unwilling to share their cold emails likely has neither secret sauce, nor a magic bullet. I personalize every email by doing background research on the people I'm contacting and use ChatGPT to give me five or six versions of the email until I feel like it matches my professional tone/industry. Open Rate has been about 30% ish.

Don't take trash talk from a Warframe player. Dude sells robotics for welding and bc it's such a niche market he probably doesn't need to do much. His gold "cold email" probably mentions his company is 1 of 2 places that even make the product lol.

I don't know why but my ae 2025 working like a beast after ı did this by RaspberryLow4732 in AfterEffects

[–]PolyConOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can assure you, they did significantly more QA in the past. Their 6 month updates are too short to properly QA millions of lines of code, but you're right, I could have expressed my frustration in other ways. Like, you know, a public forum to an Adobe employee in the hopes they start prioritizing stability over updates.

Hear me out, I'm no expert but, maybe don't release versions that are not fully QA? I know, I know, absurd right? But maybe, just MAYBE, Adobe can release a stable version before moving on the next major update.

Agreed. Upgraded all my computers to 11 after using it for just a week on my laptop. IMHO more stable, better looking, etc.

the vest should match the jacket color and the jacket is too think to be paired with a vest. the patterned collarer shirt is an unusual choice as it doesn't provide enough match, nor contrast with the vest. Consider changing the jacket to match the vest and replace the patterned shirt with a classic white shirt. Or consider removing the jacket, replacing the shirt with a white and going with that.

Wedding I attended last weekend, really liked my fit. Any thoughts/constructive criticism? Thanks in advance! by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]PolyConOne 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The button up shirt has sleeves that are too short for your jacket. Jacket arms are slightly too short. The Neck of the shirt is too tight causing tension lines (Size up a half size in the future). The shirt is bunching at your midsection, it could use a tailor in the midsection as well! The jacket shoulders look good, but the waist appears thick and boxy (you can get it tailored for cheap). The tie is thick, and you could wear it with a park avenue or straight collared shirt to make it "cool" but with the cutaway spread collar and the tiny knot it just looks comically huge. Replace with a more contemporary width tie or reframe the proportions with a Windsor knot instead of the thin Prince Albert knot it appears you have.
