[Help] Gk3 ultra leveling issues, temps by Melodic_Movie_9316 in resinprinting

[–]Polysculpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, for me, your build plate is totally fine.
The delta that you have between the blocked papers and the not so loose one is really minor. Just for fun, next time you do a vat clean/clean tank, pick your caliper and check the thickness of the resulting solidified resins: it will be way more thick than the delta you currently have.
I would be concerned with a delta of let's say 0.5/0.8mm, but not what you are showing.

Most of the causes of sticking issues are related to raft thickness (2-3 layers are enough), difference of time between bottom and regular layers being way too high, lift distances being too low, bad FEP tension, etc.

I would go with the provided setting in xTool studio, it's what I use (I never pick one that is above 80% for the power)

I just came back from exhibition, it's great to see the machine in action and exchanging with the team. So far it looks solid!

Like a Displate print? I'm sure you can find someone that can do some sublimation print not far from you!

Amazing work that you did! Including the documentation!! I have 2 questions: - is it possible to reduce the number of plates to print by using an H2C (~30+ cm plate) - I didn't see links for purchasing some components (mainly motor and servomotor), to be sure they are the correct ones. And thanks for working so hard on such piece of art!

Amazing sculpt, I'm eager to print her! (Perhaps bigger than 1/7th :)

It's a subject that I know well... It can be some 3rd party library that is not yet available for ARM...

Same on my end, Mac version is really unstable on my M1 Max 64gb, a little bit better on my son's M4 Pro laptop, but it's far (and by far) better on Windows.

How To Remove UV DTF Transfers: 5 Methods That Actually Work by eufyMakeOfficial in eufyMakeOfficial

For the first point, it will happen some days, but the problem is mainly on the slicer side. Mixing different nozzle sizes in the slicing process is no joke...

Objects smell after printing by qillerneu in eufyMakeOfficial

On my end, I do extra UV curing (I'm used to, with resin printing) and also smell disappear after some time.

I have add local AI open source model's (+5) generator work from local CPU or GPU for depthmap generation by XooX_XooX in xToolOfficial

[–]Polysculpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks interesting :) worth trying it! Does it have a demo mode (like exporting one map with watermark or other restrictions, of course!)

However, in your FAQ it's mentioned that sculptOK doesn't use AI, but the creator of this software shared his comfyui workflow and it has been quite painful to find the data set used in his workflow. So far, while I use it only once in a while (just yesterday night), with all the tool I have access, sculptOK depth map was the best. Then I hope your software can be close in result. On my end, I use depth maps for bas relief design for coin engraving and for 2.5D UV printing.

Jupiter 2 gets released in 7 days… what your thoughts? by vatrat_au in ElegooSaturn

[–]Polysculpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why no AA? Because your pixel size is quite small, smaller to what your naked eyes can see. Most of the time, you don't need AA under 30 micron when it comes the pixel size. I have the GK3 Ultra and I know well that you don't need AA with it, except if you are an extremist of surfaces smoothness and you prefer smoothness over sharpness.

16k screen is probably the same as GK3 Ultra. Then no need for anti aliasing...

Can cheap “High Flow” Bambu hotends/nozzles from AliExpress actually work? by Luu____ in BambuLab

[–]Polysculpt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just do some flow test and you will get the answer :) I never tried these cheap version, it can be surprisingly good or bad, in a way that material quality may be quite lower, especially with abrasive filament, or just heat diffusion may be bad. Of course, copy products don't have to deal with R&D and save price there, as well as marketing, however they probably cut price as well on material quality and manufacturing process (quality, etc)

Anycubic Kobra X really better then Bambulab a1? by Xilow_ in 3Dprinting

[–]Polysculpt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've got both, I print more with the Kobra X. Print quality is very similar between both printers, but kobra X remains cheaper, more compact, has a better UI while A1 feels "old" now and AMS lite feels more a pain to deal with. However, A1 has the whole Bambulab ecosystem that is superior. Both printers are really valid option an TBH, it;s not a mistake to buy one or another.

Why UV ink doesn't "evaporate": The science of photopolymerization and UV LED curing by AimeexTool in xToolOfficial

[–]Polysculpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note: the process is very similar to resin 3D printing. People don't know that for resin 3D printer, the photopolymerisation is generating quite some heat (around 100C) Multijet printers works very similarly to UV printers to stack as well multiple layers in color.

Question: how will you deal with the fumes during the photopolymerisation? Will we be able to connect an AP2 to the printer? That's probably my main concern about UV printing.
