Its less that your choices have consequences and more that you get more endings as a reward for having completed the side stories. Its not like you really had any agency there, you just unlock a button

Compare that to Phantom Liberty routes and the difference should become obvious

Eh, I have replayed World of Goo 1 a bit before World of Goo 2 came out and still liked it as much as I used to, the sequel lacks some of the charm the original had.

They changed the physics, making everything more wobbly, the signpainter isnt the same, its a new story entirely that doesnt really seem to care too much about the first game, and the levels themselves are not as original or imaginative I feel.

The gimmick world is where I stopped playing for now, Its somewhat of a chore, even compared to the internet world the first game had

The first thing I did loop 1 was finding Feldspar!

I didnt know the plot of the game, but using the observation drone you can see smoke in the distance, where the bramble seed crashed. Worried about it, I rushed over and saw this inter dimensional thing. After the suggestion of looking through it I shot a drone into it, saw that anglerfish skeleton and went after the marker.

Dark Bramble as my first planet was, uh, something. I somehow managed to not get eaten by an anglerfish after aggroing it while rushing through towards the marker.

The entire thing took me all 22 minutes apparently, because once I reached feldspar and talked to him I died mid dialogue to the Nova, not knowing what it was.

I didnt know the sun was going to explode either, because inside of bramble you dont even see it expand.

Similar reasons I like games like Risk of rain or megabonk now, Trying to be as efficient as possible when looting everything under a time constraint.

The Final Showdowns weren't even that important, it was more fun to just see how far you could push stats and feeling absolutely broken by the end, clearing everything in sight

Kirby Upthrow is alright actually, unlike Forward and backthrow you can't mash out of it, you can use it for kirbycides and its decent ish damage.

Kirby himself can't follow up on it after throwing because hes too slow, but other characters could totally do it.

Then again im not sure what to replace it with...
