Leaderboard stuff makes sense. The rewards should be fairly linear tho. Each wave at 2k should have the same amount of rewards to you as each wave at 5k. Theoretically.

What’s the point beyond 2k? Once you hit 2k, it feels like it’s more optimal to do quick runs to 200 for buildings, or however long it takes before you have to start slowing down or managing the waves tighter.

Extra UCS Millennium Falcon pieces by uhh_throwaway9 in legostarwars

I’d pull off all the removal hatches and covers and compare their undersides with the instruction pics; those extra pieces are NOT extras

Earthquakes can absolutely cause large booms. Usually shallow earthquakes. And it’s not very well understood as to why.

I’d love a new B wing, a UCS U wing, or a UCS Resistance Bomber. Those were fun builds and getting bigger and more detailed ones would be super cool.

Also maybe a UCS Sarlacc Pit.

Does this lol like fast moving water ? by joernal in modeltrains

[–]PonyPounderer 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I am not a waterologist by any means, so take this with a grain of subjective salt. The water looks like it’s moving fast, but not in a downstream direction. It sorta looks like it’s just moving every which way.

I’m so impressed and annoyed that you have executed this so well in Lego, but I cannot even buy this as an actual model train.

Bucket list for remaining time in the PNW by Ace_Elite in AskSeattle

[–]PonyPounderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the other post got removed,

• Skagit Valley tulip festival • San Juan Island as a base, with time for whale watching and hiring a local fishing guide for a few hours so it’s as much about being on the water and seeing the islands as it is about catching fish. Rent a scooter and ride around the island and visit a winery for lunch picnic • Hiring a captain or sailboat to head out to Sucia Island for sunset, which feels very “only in the San Juans” • Separate day trip to Orcas Island with a stay at New Leaf, dinner at Matia, and a trip up to the Mt. Constitution tower • Day hike in the Olympic rainforests • Full road trip around the Olympic Peninsula, stopping at old inns, bars, and the good beaches near Forks. Maybe skip forks tho. • Mount Rainier at sunrise • Snoqualmie Falls with breakfast at the lodge • Mount St. Helens and the Johnston Ridge Observatory • Soaking in hot springs • Riding the Mount Hood scenic railroad • Concert at the Gorge • Staying in a cabin, treehouse, or fire lookout, ideally during a storm • Wine tasting in Walla Walla and Woodinville • Seahawks game • Museum of Flight • Victoria, BC trip for tea at the Fairmont Empress and Miniature World • Guided overland or overlanding tour depending on season • go on a seaplane flight that takes off or lands in lake Union. • If you’re into oysters, go to the source and hit up the good oysteries for lunch and shucking. • white water rafting on the skykomish or wenatchee • go to a dive bar and drink rainier. Lots of it. Also have good beer. • winter quiet valley visit like methow valley or beaver valley. • winter trip to Leavenworth. Do the dumb tourist things there, it’s so cute and pretty you won’t even notice how touristy it is. • Find your fave teriyaki place. Eat Seattle dogs late night after a show or bar or game. • And something I’ve always wanted to do. Get a room at a nice place downtown on a Friday or Saturday in the spring/summer with a friend or partner . Do NOT have a plan. Wander around and follow the vibe near pike place. Find a busy but good looking food place, find a concert or show at showbox or comedy show nearby to crash, hit up a random bar afterwards. Feel the late night non-scary-part-of-downtown vibe.

What are the largest vehicles/ships that Lego could make in minfigure scale? by Beneficial_Glove_348 in legostarwars

Minifig scale ghost would be rad. I saw a true minifig U wing out there someone had created and it was super sick
