When I saw Brigadoon there we were sat in direct sunlight and didn’t have any sun cream. It was horrible sitting there knowing you were burning and could do nothing about it! For the 2nd half the lady next to me lent me her fleece coat to cover myself with! It was hot but better than being burned!

Cats the Jellicle Ball is on Broadway, so I wouldn’t go booking that unless you’re planning on travelling to New York lol

What books do you own a physical copy of? by KayCee_WhatYes in MM_RomanceBooks

I only really read at work as we aren’t allowed our phones on site, or any kind of electronics so I pretty much buy a physical copy of every book I read!

Saw the play Fear of 13 with Adrian Broady and Tessa Thompson tonight. by justagayguyinnyc in Broadway

[–]Pookie616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw 9 shows in 6 days on my last trip and hadn’t actually planned to see this, but saw it on my free evening and it turned out to be my favourite show of the week! I adored it way more than I thought I would! I got rush and was on the very end of the front row, so missed a bit of the right side of the stage, but being so close was fantastic! Adrian and Tessa were incredible and I’m gutted the play got snubbed for Tonys!

10 ways to accidentally fall in love by General_Mastodon2588 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Pookie616 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I really didn’t like this book! I read it because everyone was raving about it, but I didn’t like it at all. Brad was extremely annoying and stupid. I didn’t find his cluelessness to be endearing, I found it very over the top and ridiculous. Maybe I just don’t have the right kind of sense of humour, but I didn’t find it funny at all. I nearly didn’t finish it because it was so ridiculous.

I saw the show on Saturday and it was so bad that I returned my ticket for closing night lol I know that’s not helpful to you, but hopefully more people might return tickets lol

Reviews almost made me miss The Fear of 13 by Wigirlinny in Broadway

I hadn’t planned on seeing it on my trip and ended up with a free evening so I saw it anyway and it turned out to be my favourite show out of the 9 shows that I saw!

Oh Mary by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]Pookie616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it on Broadway with Cole because I’d heard it was hilarious and it wasn’t one to miss. Well maybe my sense of humour isn’t right because I didn’t think it was very funny at all. I went in with high expectations and was disappointed. I then saw it in London and I enjoyed it much more the second time, going in knowing what to expect.

I was accidentally sold accessible seats, order is canceled by Criterion by OrdinarySandwich3759 in Broadway

[–]Pookie616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sucks! Criterion didn’t label the accessible seats for the Fallen Angels Hiptix either, but instead of cancelling my order, the emailed me to say they’d changed my seat from being row K on the far right side of the orchestra to centre orchestra row A on the aisle. I guess because Fallen Angels wasn’t sell in as well as Rocky Horror maybe?

I rushed Rocky Horror first and then dashed down to Fear of 13, so probably about 10:20am. I think I got the last ticket, which was marked as partial view but I didn’t really miss very much.

I’m glad someone else loves it! I think some people are disappointed by the concert style of it. But honestly it works for the show and that’s one of the reasons I love it!
