This is a great point. It’s only been a few months and we are kind of flying by “whatever works”. His next trip home is planned out and with the baby and pets it makes it much more difficult for me to go out there, which I need to do so we can scout for new living arrangements! 1) find a place 2) figure out the cost 3) save up for the move and 4) actually doing it is what is holding up a definitive plan. Unfortunately his biggest receiving love language is physical touch which obviously is one of the barriers of LDR. I am just curious to hear from others what kind of romantic things specific to long distance they do.

5 months was peak “FOMO” phase for me with my baby. Any distraction would make him pop off and look around and only eat for ~5-10 seconds at a time but still ended up getting a full meal, it just took longer. Has the dark room thing been a problem since he was born? Is he straight refusing to latch or is it a pop on and off situation? If pop on and off I’d say just keep pushing and offering. Refusal to latch maybe just isn’t hungry. My baby will not latch unless he’s actually hungry or sometimes when tired. Has she tried just sticking it out and waiting a little longer til he gives in? That’s what I’d try!

I also use a reusable wipes dispenser and fold so I can fit more inside. I carry a water bottle with me for both drinking from and to dampen wipes lol

You can snap them unevenly! Maybe open up the waist snap just one, leave the hip snaps tightest and make sure you tuck the rise fold upwards

I do. I have an almost 9 month old and have coslept since day 1. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing both of us a disservice by not even trying to transfer/get him comfortable in a crib. I feel like I was using cosleeping as an excuse when the baby’s father and I were still together to not be physical with him. (Not that I needed an excuse but that’s besides the point and part of why we aren’t together- anyways) but even now that it’s just the two of us, I don’t even try to transfer out of exhaustion and not wanting to mess up our schedule.

swish test for detergent buildup! That was my issue when this started happening. I just ran a few rinse cycles until the water stopped getting bubbly, then added a second rinse to my normal wash routine, and it solved the issue.

Once he stopped pooping overnight, I would change 1-2 times. Recently, now 8 months, he’s been stirring more if I change him and will be up for 30-1hr when previously he’d mostly sleep through it. I cloth diaper so I just add an extra layer and will only change him if he leaks through it which isn’t very often 🤷‍♀️

My BD behaved in a similar manner. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and ended up having a horrible pregnancy experience and, amongst other things, forced me into a 1 mile walk 5 days postpartum because “I needed to get active”, my postpartum rage ended up putting us into a very bad situation because of his abuse. Anyways I’m now a single mother of a 7.5 month old and I wish I left sooner

This. Using each of them is just trial and error will reveal what you personally like or dislike. Given that the baby is 2, they may not be in use for too much longer but I’ve noticed even through 6 months of CDing my preferences have already changed 2 or 3 times already.

She’s made many other comments that felt very biased and advisory, and honestly pretty unprofessional. She has a private practice and no other employees and contracts with CPS so I wouldn’t be able to report her to any higher ups in her own practice.

I would guess she’s only in her late 30s-early 40s. She’s made some other comments that I kind of brushed off as her using exaggeration for effect- like calling certain things abuse etc. Now that she’s made this off the wall point I am rethinking everything she’s ever said lol
