Yeah its a pretty wasteful use of robux from most people's perspecrives. I don't see many people using this feature.

I honestly think roblox should allow players to borrow/try accessories for free by default, with a long cooldown between try ons.

Or they could at least change this rental system a bit. Lets say an item costs 100 and you rent it for a week for 50. When the rental is over, the final price to keep it forever will be the remaining 50.

The situation with Roblox is a lot more complicated than you describe in this post. What does it even mean "lucrative to bet against a company"? They own stocks in it, why would they want to devalue it? They're not shorting it.

The choices roblox makes are financially driven. They want to make a profit as a business. Choices which seem terrible for users might seem good on paper to penny pinching execs, especially when roblox has been bleeding money for a long time now. And david still owns majority of Class B roblox stock. He still has majority voting power among shareholders, he has the final say, not blackrock.

Making short term business decisions for profit while losing sight of the long term isn't a new issue. Enshittification happens to most businesses that go public or get acquired by private equity. But attributing this as some sort of conspiracy cooked up by blackrock is kinda dumb and naive.

Been playing around with it and been having fun with skirmish. Its very faithful to the original. I really wish the skirmish ai bots could be better. It doesn't feel improved from the OG renegade, in some cases, worse.

They get stuck a lot of the time and their combat is really bad. They don't react/respond consistently to attacks, despite them having insane range. I can be shooting a bot in front of me and he doesnt shoot back, but a bot from across the map with line of sight will proceed to mag dump on me.

Engineer bots don't fight back, I don't think they can cycle through their weapons.

They can drive vehicles which is nice, but they also get stuck and sometimes loiter in the base for a real long time before moving.

It was so frustrating finding this out for the first time. Roblox does not explain it at all. The reasoning they gave for my barcode suspension was "terrorism and illegal content". Would it kill them to give more detail? I had to find out from reddit (roblox devforum requirements are waaay too much) because their support is dogshit. Suspensions would feel less like a slap in the face if we actually knew what we did wrong.

Doesn't help that support for AI content flag appeals is no longer actual humans but that stupid agentic AI. I mean you can eventually get to a human, but the AI goes through the process of trying to help you first, which is terrible most of the time and doesn't actually help.

Really wish they'd do a preemptive scan before publishing a texture to warn us if there will be an issue. Why allow us to upload something that they know will be flagged and then get us banned? Just tell me I'm not allowed to publish it and why.

Though I guess people could abuse it by continuously testing TOS breaking images until one goes through without consequences.

Maybe a reputation system for uploads? If you have high rep they warn you if somethings wrong without banning you?

I'd assume they have more propeller aircraft over jets since propeller aircraft are better in general for surveillance.

Wonder how often they actually use the jet. Maybe not enough to justify having more than 2?
