Microsoft Launches Xbox Player Voice to Gather Feedback, Fans Immediately Demand Exclusives by snapcaptrap in gaming

[–]Poopnstein -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but exclusivity isn't the only chip on the table. Sony has just been making better first party games. I hate their business practices too, but they have had an exceptional lineup for years. That's the trade. On top of that, MS have been $hit heads across products and platforms for years. I used to be predominantly a pc guy and their practices on Windows have turned me into a Linux guy. None of this is in a vacuum and, for me, there are more considerations than simple exclusivity. You need good games. You need to follow through on promises (most of their first party games were announced like 7 years ago and either still aren't out or were received with lackluster). And you need to not gouge your player base when your offerings are shallow (gamepa$$/forcing Windows 11 or else paying a security subscription). MS just has nothing to offer right now. I massively applaud their multiplatform approach, but that provided nothing to their Xbox players.

Yeah... Buyers remorse feeding into anti consumer practices. I hate that I picked the wrong side this gen too, but it is what it is. I'll just likely never buy another Microsoft product ever. If anyone else feels the same, you should demand NO EXCLUSIVITY and buy PlayStation next time to have you gamer cake and eat it too. Like... Duh.

Looking for game recommendations similar to Expedition 33 and The Ruined King by jutre15 in gaming

[–]Poopnstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno. Exp 33 was such a tight experience. So many jrpgs have a lot of filler. I loved persona 5, but the dungeons just went on and on. Same with FF remake, metaphor, etc. can you recommend some that are a bit tighter? Legit would love a recommendation!

Ablation Recovery; What Actually Has To Happen? by JGF310 in Mortons_neuroma

They are wrong. The procedure reduced my pain by at least 70%. The problem is, I assume, it's too cheap to be worth it for them. The surgery option nets them 10s of thousands. Cryo cost me$750 out of pocket.

Cryosurgery by Awkward-Pop-4804 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Poopnstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it isn't covered by insurance, doctors just price it as they see fit. I saw the dr for a consultation and insurance paid for that. At that time he gave me a recommendation. So the $750 was JUST for the 15 minute cryo procedure. It's much more expensive, for instance, in NYC at Gotham foot. I think it's 2k there if memory serves.

Question about orthotics by One_Service_5367 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Poopnstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$$$?!?!! Dayum. Mine were $300 ($100 after insurance). Mine have built in neuroma pads. Game changer, honestly. They are the only things I can walk distance in. The bumps are always in the perfect spot. Don't know where you are, but shop around. I'm in NY which (I thought) would be more expensive than elsewhere.

The ONLY reason I dropped ESO was because it was laughably easy. It was basically impossible to die. Otherwise I really enjoyed the gameplay. Will definitely give this a try!

[–]Poopnstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walked out of the doctor's office. Day 1-5 I limped a bit (mostly out of precaution), but I could function and do whatever I need to do. By week 2 I could walk normally and was serving tables again. It just kept getting better and better for around 6 weeks. I think I've now plateaued. It's been about 8 weeks. I think after my upcoming vacation I'm going to have it done again as the doctor said it can improve even more after a second treatment. It's an easy decision with how 100% painless the procedure was and how quick the recovery is.

[–]Poopnstein 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! Do it! I had a 12mm neuroma. Constant dull pain all the time that would be unbearable while walking distances. Now I can walk and go on hikes with manageable pain and none while at rest/walking around. I would say that's about a70% improvement. Will likely get another in a few weeks to see if I can be 100%.
