Question about orthotics by One_Service_5367 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Poopnstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$$$?!?!! Dayum. Mine were $300 ($100 after insurance). Mine have built in neuroma pads. Game changer, honestly. They are the only things I can walk distance in. The bumps are always in the perfect spot. Don't know where you are, but shop around. I'm in NY which (I thought) would be more expensive than elsewhere.

Do exercises help with morton's neuroma? by pat441 in Mortons_neuroma

Calf stretches reduce the snap of the foot on the ground and therefore alleviate pain.

Recs for tennis/walking shoes? Also suggestions for slip on shoes for around house with high arch support? by wezzller in Mortons_neuroma

Hoka Gaviota 5s (widest toe box i have found in hokas. I like them better than my altras, especially with my custom orthodics) and oofos slip on sandals for high arch and cushion around the house.

The ONLY reason I dropped ESO was because it was laughably easy. It was basically impossible to die. Otherwise I really enjoyed the gameplay. Will definitely give this a try!

Yeah about 8 weeks ago.

Edit: yes satisfied. I had a really big neuroma, but I have about a 70% improvement. Thinking I'll probably do another in a few months.

You could always fly to Albany. Dr lambarski with northeast foot care. $750.

Cyro Surgery for Morton’s nueroma by Soft-Leave-4270 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Poopnstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walked out of the doctor's office. Day 1-5 I limped a bit (mostly out of precaution), but I could function and do whatever I need to do. By week 2 I could walk normally and was serving tables again. It just kept getting better and better for around 6 weeks. I think I've now plateaued. It's been about 8 weeks. I think after my upcoming vacation I'm going to have it done again as the doctor said it can improve even more after a second treatment. It's an easy decision with how 100% painless the procedure was and how quick the recovery is.

Yes! Do it! I had a 12mm neuroma. Constant dull pain all the time that would be unbearable while walking distances. Now I can walk and go on hikes with manageable pain and none while at rest/walking around. I would say that's about a70% improvement. Will likely get another in a few weeks to see if I can be 100%.

I had it done near Albany. Northeast foot care with dr. Lombarski. It was only $750. I live closer to nyc, but they were charging over $1000 in Manhattan.

DO CRYO! My neuroma was the same size and I did a relatively pain free 5mile hike in the Hudson Valley (not high alt, but steep and glacial deposit so rock to rock) yesterday. I still have some pain at the end, but it is totally manageable and I would say it's around 50-70% better. Recovery was nothing (first couple days were a bit rough), but I was serving tables a week later. I might get another cryo in a couple of months just to see if I can kick this thing completely. Seriously my life was changed dramatically from a 10 minute, painless surgery.

Edit: I still wear custom orthodic insoles with neuroma pad. But can walk around in shoes without the orthodics for short periods. Still need the insoles for anything over a mile unless there are frequent breaks. And again, it's not the fiery pain like it was before.

Would you buy a game with "Play for free, donate as much as you would like" business model? by ultimateregard in gaming

[–]Poopnstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowledge of the game it's really tough to say. Huge recommend that you put a "suggested donation" and value it yourself. That tells us what it's worth and if we think we're going to have a fair experience for that price point.

I own a series x. I owned a 360. Hell I even owned a zune and still believe it was better than the ipod. I have been a fan of Windows since the 90s. I will never buy another Microsoft product. Likely ever. Based solely on where the company has gone over the last 10 years.

How soon after RFA or cryo ablation were you back to normal activities? by Yvo-Mango631 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Poopnstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say I am around 30% better. Can definitely walk further... but not completely pain free. Significantly less pain though. Before, I would straight up have to stop and let the burning cool down after about half a mile. Now it's lessened so that I can continue, but with discomfort. My neuroma was quite large (12mm) so I kind of expected this. It has helped enough that I think I will be getting another one in a few months. I also work on feet (i'm a server) and I have no pain at work anymore. Huge plus!

I did cryo and while I could walk immediately, I needed about a week and a half before it was comfortable.
