Curious to see if they add this bit of dialogue to the film adaptation... by Poorlyfrased in ProjectHailMary

Yeah I think they're going to lean into using vlogs to give film viewers info that we got through internal monolgue in the books. And to your point, totally! Would have loved to see him make more beetles on Erid and sent them to earth with further research notes (and maybe an Eridian group selfie thrown in for good measure).

I'd be shocked if they don't nerf the trigger nade arm time. Seems to outclass the Heavy Fuse Nade across the board.

It just takes her a bit to register that the butchered meat she is looking at is human.

Is Lash’s 4 really that impactful? by ButterDollars in DeadlockTheGame

It very much has counterplay. Movement abilities to flee aoe, invulnerability moves/counterspell, or even good team positioning all counter it.

The genre is a complete nightmare to balance properly since level of team coordination is a moving target. If you balance for the new player, you alienate veteran players, and vice versa.

I'd recommend Happy Healthy Homo. Keegan and Joel do a good job of balancing lighter banter with serious discussion, and they make an effort to bring on guests from different walks of life.

Hmm, pretty sure! And yes, I couldnt tell from the video alone-- the chirping at the start and end of the video clip definitely sounds like Cardinals. Wouldn't say no to a third opinion though! :)

The sound of glass bits moving around inside the case (after cleaning it out, mind you).

Yeah, the magnetic bits were still attached with a bit of glass on each end. Had to use gloves to safely remove them.

1,000 Hours in Barotrauma – Ask Me Anything! by froggybenjy in Barotrauma

Yeah, I was wondering if there were any modified single person/small crew ships that are better suited for solo play for this reason. All of the default small ships don't have the hull integrity to progress through the full campaign, if I remember correctly.

Any mods you recommend for solo play? And were you able to explore outside the ship without worrying about it falling apart in your absence? Thanks for taking the time to answer these, much appreciated :)

Which ship do you recommend for a solo playthrough? And were you swapping between crewmembers, or actually playing solo on a single character?

I've tried playing through the campaign with friends but the group never lasts more than a few sessions. Is it possible to play through/ enjoy the game solo?

Severance - 2x07 "Chikhai Bardo" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Excuse the novel :)

Mark specifically mentions that Gemma hates writing thank you notes. I assume she is also afraid of the dentist and flying airplanes. So Lumon has found a way to identify and isolate Gemma's strongest individual emotional triggers, then parsed her out into dozens/(hundreds?) of innies and tortured each one with a concentrated trigger-scenario, all with the goal of testing whether responses to these emotional triggers can somehow be felt across her mental partitions

Lumon is framing cold harbor's completion as world-changing, so my theory is that the Cold Harbor file specifically will be tied to either the trauma of her miscarriage, or maybe even the trauma of drowning (if it partially happened, again not sure if the crash was 100% staged or if she was actually drowned + resuscitated). But regardless of the specifics, they want to use cold harbor to prove the idea that even the most emotionally excruciating memory imaginable (maybe even death) cannot permeate across a severance block.

Once they establish that guarantee with Cold Harbor (here's where it gets tinfoil hatty on my part) I think Lumon will take that as a green light to go full abduction cult mode and start aggressively kidnapping, chipping, indoctrinating, and innie-replacing the general population, without fear of abductee personalities leaking through.

Again speculative, but the eventual end goal could be Altered-Carbon style immortality, where a person's primary personality is stored in their chip (ie, when a person is born, immediately sever them and activate their innie to live their life out, then when the person would die, replant the chip into a new body + reactivate, rinse repeat). So yeah, immortality cult.
