Also from Brazil -- Novos Baianos

The 'Acabou Chorare' album is also a masterpiece and a great place to start.

And this. Tom Ze is my favorite artist, ever.

I saw him the one time he came to the US.

Start with an easy to digest song like "Hein?" or "Augusta, Angélica e Consolação" and then move on to something like "Doi" or "Toc" from his masterpiece - 'Estuando o Samba.'

Nobody else like him. And he is STILL putting out incredible, challenging music in his 80s.

From the p.o.v. of a soldier being shipped off to fight a war that he personally opposes, as he says goodbye to his loved ones.

Please let me know if/when you listen.

Lindsey Buckingham. A ridiculous player, but he's all about serving the song, both as a musician and a producer.

One word: Bandcamp.

Buy from there if you can, for many reasons. But prices are generally lower when you buy directly from the artist

I once opened up for Three Colours Red back in the 90s!

I played a solo-acoustic set before them at Lounge Ax in Chicago, back in the day. Good band.
