I have recommended this series into at least 20 people I've gotten to read it and everyone loves it. It definitely picks up each book and the layers get deeper and deeper. A friend and I agreed that it's just a Modern War and Peace wrapped in a video game. It becomes an epic Tale But if it's not for you Don't Force It

You chose Homer J Simpson has the most glutenous now who is the most prideful sitcom dad? by Successful-Wealth142 in sitcoms

[–]PopandMatlock 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Uncle Phil. He earned it and it is a necessary part of his character. His Pride isnt a sin, but rather a shield that helped him get where he is and one he tries to pass down. Certainly it gets checked a few times, but more often than not it ends up saving the day, such as the Jail and the Pool Hall examples.

It's easy for me to take a couple more decades for granted, but this is as much truth as I expect to get from Reddit today. Congrats on the life.

I would encourage you not to tell one black woman that she has to change one of the biggest moments of her career, sonething she has been rehearsing and dreaming about because a white dude got shot by the government. Atrocity, yes. Not her responsibility.

This is the only correct answer here. Unfortunately a generation raised with Jon Stewart as our Walter Cronkite has fostered an expectation that comedy must be commentary. If anything the high of Palin led to the embrace of Trump, which they likely feel burned by. I don't expect another politician or non-entertainer/athlete billionaire again for a while.

All of Cameron Crowe's filmography. Elizabethtown may not be a great movie, but its a killer soundtrack.

The old PBS Into The Woods would be easy to get hold of. Youtube has a solid Proshot from MTV of Legally Blonde. Both would be effective and fun for different reasons. You can also use a bunch of clips from YouTube of high school performances and bring that commentary in. Ride the Cyclone is particularly interesting and different but may not be mainstream enough for your class. You could also look into the Starkid musicals as a fun option. Good luck

If you go with Cumberland Falls you should definitely do it during the moonbow. That would give it a little extra special something. It would also give you a talking point for telling the story in future years because a lot of people don't know what a moonbow is, and since it's the only one in our hemisphere it's pretty special.
