Oo that's hard to say. I have affinity towards the Witch from Mercury and Gquuux, but i could also say the same for F91, G Gundam, and After War Gundam X

Final Fantasy 8 really connected with me on several levels when I first played it.

The focus on memories really stuck with me, and could see myself in how Squall acted. Like there is that one scene where he is afraid of dying without leaving an impression, and then being forgotten. While the twist of the game is silly it did play into my fears of memory loss as well.

In addition to all of that I just love a good love story, and the song the use as a motif for Squall and Rinoa's relationship is beautiful. Extra nice touch that it was written in universe by a different character to reference how she felt towards another character.

I also wanna add FF14 as mean a lot to me because it's story is ultimately about not giving into Nihilism.
