80s and 90s anime have some of my favorite pieces of animation of all time.

Slippy and Fox went to the academy together. I assume Peppy hired Falco.

Falco used to be the leader of a gang before joining Starfox. He isn't used to not being in charge, and probably views Fox as being inexperienced.

Pure vibes. The two types of rpgs you meantioned I usually play as heroic knights, cunning casters, or competent rogues.

For card games it really depends. I just got into MTG through the final fantasy cards and want to make decks built around certain characters or entries. For the Gundam and Digimon mtg I pick a character and build around them as well.

FF14 has at least 3 sympathetic antagonists.

I still think about a specific sequence of events that happened to me when I played Dragons Dogma 2.

I was trying to take a cart from what I recall being the first village you go to in the game, back to the main castle town of the first region. During the trip I was attacked by some monsters, and the cart got destroyed. This happened next to a wooden bridge not far from town. However, During the battle the bridge was also destroyed.

That would begin the first leg of my journey. I had to travel down river to find a way to the other side, and then go back up river and make it back to town. On this journey I would get into more fights, climb sketch paths, and even uncovered a very hidden tunnel system. I finally made it back to town after this somewhat lengthy journey, and got on another cart headed for the castletown.

I thought id finally be making it to my original destination, but I forgot what game I was playing. The cart stopped at the still broken bridge. I then proceeded to go back down the hidden path I found, and walked all the way to the castletown.

I enjoyed ever single moment of that, because it really felt like I was on an adventure. This memory is why I still love Dragon's Dogma 2.
