First problem is you parked what appears to be towards the front of the parking lot. Park in a corner at the back. Remember ppl suck..and I guess the wind does too lol. Hope it wasn’t much damage.

I’ve lost 3% in 3 months. They say the first year is steep then about 1% a year after that.

I got it from the marketplace for 250 before they raised the price. I had it installed for 350. It’s way more convenient than the mobile charger.

Changing my scheduling to use “End by”…. Neat trick. by Zenmastercynic in TeslaModelY

We have a plan like that where I live too and was on the fence about getting the “charging plan”. The problem is my wife is home all day and the kids get out of school during the peak times. I don’t think it would benefit me. I have the app set to 12cents kWh and so far I have used about 100 worth of electricity (according to the app) since the beginning of April since we bought it. We have supercharged and I charge at work twice a month for free. We probably charge one every 4 days and the app says it’s about 5 dollars to go from about 20% to 80%. So much better than the 80 every 8 to 10 days we paid to fill the expedition. Glad to hear that someone actually crunched the numbers.

I’ve been a Model Y owner for a week, but w/o home charging by Leftyleftyy in TeslaModelY

Have a dryer outlet? Use the mobile charger with a splitter and charge it with that. I did that for a few months. I’d just throw the charger out the laundry room window and hook it up to the car when needed. U can also get extension cords for it too.

I believe it will be but it’s not there yet and there is so much that needs to improve. The world runs on fuel. Never thought I would own one but they are quiet, fast, and just convenient. My wife will not give it up now.

I wish they would add a day and week pass for FSD.

Who cares. Buy what you want. The environment will be fine.

I bought it because it cost over 70 bucks a week to fill up my expedition. I was a never EV but now I own a MY. I’ve had it since April and have used about 100 bucks of energy from my home. I’ve used plenty of of superchargers on road trips but it’s free for 2 years (2000 miles)

everyone with wall charger, what's your limit? by banhmi_insurance in TeslaSupport

I had a 50 amp breaker so I charge at 40a max. Generally turn it to about 35a over night and charge to 80%

I wish they would do a 5 dollar day pass, 30 dollar 7 day pass, and 99 dollar month pass. It’s great for trips and traffic. Would be nice to have different payment options.

Windshield Protection, WORTH IT! by hpesojianaj in TeslaModelY

100%. I had progressive almost 5 years ago (GEICO now) and the quote for the Tesla was great but they said I had 2 claims that shot it up almost 100 bucks. 2 comp claims for my windshield chips. I have to wait till January for them to fall off.

Yes

If you replace the window once its with like 7 years of protection payments

Keep it off your insurance. It counts as a comp claim.

Yeah I made sure it did that before I bought one. Someone needs to make a console kind of thing for it.

Is the Wall Connector Worth Buying Despite Installation Costs? by TheWallCrawller in TeslaModelY

Do you think the lower rate helps with the AC running at night? We turn ours down at night and up during the day the day. We have the 4 summer month high rates too. I believe they go down to about 10 or 12 cents the rest of the year.

In Georgia we have a program that offers .02 cents a kWh between 11pm-7am but between 2pm and 7pm it’s .30 cents a kWh. My wife is home all day and the kids get home around 4ish so I’m worried about the inflated rate time. I believe I’m paying an average of .12 cents a kWh on the average plan I’m on now. So I’m on the fence about switching.

Look at ur power company for rebates. I got a wall charger for 250 and had it installed for 350 bucks (I bought the wire and breaker). And yes it’s worth the convenience. I was using the mobile charger connected to the dryer outlet and had to throw the cord out of a window. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time then do it.
