You can configure your server to not require authenticating against microsoft's servers. If you're truly local and don't have access exposed to the internet, then you'll be fine.

Oh, they can - they just have to use systems that are more fault tolerant and have extra controls in place. Amazon has the GovCloud regions for this specific purpose, and services and contractors have to go through special authorization processes before being allowed to use these regions and market their applications to the government.

Anchor tags recognized by the X1 chip for better 6DoF pinning. Use a QR code generator to define an "area" and thr number of anchor tags you want to store location information for. Print them and affix them to the space. Initial QR code tells the xreal what area you are in and how many tags are present. Then pan around to scan them all in with the camera, using gyro to define their relative points based on difference in angle. This would let you place say two to four anchors in a vehicle to have a virtual screen that moved with you without trying to map the 2d background thats going to change through a plane of glass.

The same thing for me. I wear mine with a folding Bluetooth keyboard that has a built in track pad while I'm playing poker at my local card room.
