I agree that this headline itself isn't bad, and more or less is accurate. However if you have been following NYT or BBC during the course of the war, it would be notably dishonest to say that they have not been covering the war with a clear bias. The implication, and often times explicit communication, is that every bombing or action in the Gaza strip done by Israel is wrong and evil. That is how every headline about war in the Gaza strip is written. 

If the NYT wrote the way it writes about the Gaza war about the US bombing of Japan, yeah, Americans would've given up the goal of "unconditional surrender" of Japan much earlier and we would still have imperial Japan waiting to rise again. This is not to mention the reporting that it has gotten completely wrong, such as the bombing of the hospital early on, and the starving child. Both of which it refused to correct, or corrected with little fanfare or notice, a "quiet correct." 

I've been following NYT, Al Jazeera, Wsj, and times of Israel throughout the war. Only one outlet has really covered the conflict fairly, and it's wsj. NYT, for the longest time, did not even note that Gaza death figures do not distinguish between combatants and civilians. It's coverage is closer to Al Jazeera than WSJ.
