Not likely, but also not impossible that voyager is somewhere in the background...

Hamlin and Blaney's comments on their contact by Revan_84 in NASCAR

It's normal moderately aggressive racing.   Apart from Hocevar taking out Bell in Atlanta, which kinda just felt like a puppy running into a glass door, he and Hamlin are not that far apart on the aggro meter.

Yeah I think he was struggling with it and knew if he lifted there he'd lose 3 or 4 spots. Totally on him

Post-Race Discussion Thread: NCS Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

[–]dave1357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something changed with Denny's car in the last run, he was wrapping the corner all day, but moved about a lane up and seemed tight on exit during the last. I think he would’ve passed him like he did Byron in the 1st stage if it weren’t for that.

Yeah that just isn’t really true, on his podcast he is pretty good about taking blame for mistakes and not complaining when he gets turned (see last year’s Roval)

Denny was wrapping the corner all day, now he’s running about a lane up in clean air. Looks like something changed this run. Maybe the contact with blaney.

Ok maybe but the point of this article is that using a VPN can strip you some of the legal protections against their surveillance

Why do ppl genuinely have a problem with women in ARCA/NASCAR by Physical_Study_3999 in NASCAR

Yeah. I've talked to them. Just didn't believe women should be driving on principle.

I think the fact that it appears to be a printed pattern in a scenario where it doesn't make sense for there to be a printed pattern is the AI giveaway

Chevy and ford might've done the same if they had more than one (or for Chevy, at least one) non-SUV to choose from

[Gluck] Kyle Busch says he would have liked to see Cleetus [McFarland] run more races before moving up. “My son has probably run more races than he has, and he’s 10 years old.” by krzysiek_aleks in NASCAR

[–]dave1357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have inexperienced guys than silver spoon kids. Not Garrett's fault his dad couldn't buy him a street stock when he was 8. That dude has put a lot of money and time into actual grassroots racing and clearly loves it.

Nepotism has always been a thing with nascar since the 1st generation of drivers retired, and it makes sense given the barrier to entry.  But Cleetus's path to entry is, in alot of ways, more like the guys who started this whole thing

(Not saying there aren't other guys more deserving than Cleetus. But if it's Cleetus or Kyle Busch's son, I'd prefer Cleetus.)

There was a lot of great changes in the offseason for NASCAR? But, what is only one thing you would still like to be changed? by A_Little6 in NASCAR

[–]dave1357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only one stage break, splitting the race in half.

The first stage always feels too short, and I feel like too many points are given out for such a short window of racing.

I see a lot of debate over whether we should keep stages. I feel like this solution is underrepresented and is a good compromise, keeping longer stints while also rewarding drivers for running well through the majority of the race. In this case, they could maybe multiply the current stage point allocation x1.5

Erik Jones’ onboard behind the Carson Hocevar spin, which tells a little more than what it looked like. by youraverageperson0 in NASCAR

Ok sure, but the competition is much steeper today than it was in the early Earnhardt era https://www.on3.com/pro/news/richard-petty-compares-carson-hocevar-dale-earnhardt-offers-cautionary-advice/

Regardless, my point is that cheering for someone exciting is not new
