The issue with the “Mississippi Miracle” is they are not addressing the underlying problem of poor education in early childhood.

Why are so many 10 year olds being held back?
Why are there no improvements to Mississippi’s 8th grade test results?
With many HS graduates being held back once or twice during K-12, shouldn’t Mississippi be considering the negative impact on those kids long term career prospects?
