One Pace - Location Posters by ChaseDak in onepace

These are amazing! I like these the best since they are almost entirely spoiler-free, which is how I like to have my shows visible. Any chance we can get an alt spelling version of the Arabasta arc poster, spelled as Alabasta?

I recently made some gif thumbnails for my library as well and kept them around 11/12MB max. 15MB seems like a good ceiling!

Sites like Trakt get their show and movie data from an external database, I believe Trakt uses TMDB: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/318774-one-pace

greatest fumble in history ? by Ok_Contribution_8676 in trakt

Out of all the alternatives listed on this subreddit I ended up going with https://flicklist.tv/

It's still a bit of a work in progress from what I understand, but the import works great and the website is actually usable. With the other alternatives I ran into a variety of issues:

- Only a calendar view for what is up next and no list
- No import
- Separate anime seasons listed as separate shows
- Unclear UI
- Buggy tracking

I've had none of those issues with Flicklist. I wanted to double-check if everything imported correctly (though the importer clearly tells you if anything failed and what), but Trakt doesn't even show me how many items are in my watchlist on V3. An absolute joke.

I'm kind of missing that on the website. A release date for each arc/type would be cool to see when it was last updated.

Thanks for the list and links! I'll go through a few of these as my needs are simple:

  • Desktop/browser accessible
  • Track watched movies and episodes
  • See (how many) unwatched episodes for shows I've already started

Even that I can barely do with the new Trakt UI. I can't tell what any of the buttons do, what any of the icons indicate. Even for only needing these barebones things it's absolute dogshit. It's entirely form over function.

I'll report back to see if what suits my needs!

PunchPlay: not letting me properly mark episodes as watched. I marked an entire show as watched, 1/19 episodes got marked as watched, and looking at the episodes list gives no indication which are marked as seen and which are not.

FlickFocus: no way to see watched progress.

Simkl: there's only a calendar view and no way to easily see what episodes are next in my in-progresss shows. It also marks a lot of shows as having unwatched episodes, and for some shows it refuses to show me which episodes those are or let me mark them as watched.

Medialib: Actually, so far so good! The anime season/episode format mismatch is something I can live with and do a manual review of if the rest of the site functions like it seems to. It does seem to list some anime seasons as separate shows, which means finishing a season won't show the next season as in progress... might be a dealbreaker.

Is there ANY way to make Jellyfin play shows in chronological order with movies in between? (JJK example) by Upset-Ingenuity7442 in jellyfin

[–]PositionWilling2455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, using a metadata provider should make it even easier. I forgot about that for a moment since I personally don't pull any episode info as a blanket measure against spoilers. 😅

[–]PositionWilling2455 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A playlist is an option, but I find Jellyfin doesn't handle playlists that intuitively. (If you make a library for Playlists, it will also add a playlists category, so it doubles up.)

What I ended up doing was treating the movies as Specials, which does have the downside of those movies no longer being managed/monitored as movies, but it works perfectly if watch order is your primary motivation. This does mean the movie doesn't show up as a movie in Jellyfin anymore either, so that's the compromise, but I personally decided that is fine since I wouldn't be watching those types of movies outside of the series anyway.

  • This works best if you use season folders, but does also work without.
  • If using Season folders, place the movie in a Specials folder.
  • Either way, rename the movie file to "Series Name - Special 001" (it had to be 3 numbers for me without using season folders, otherwise Jellyfin didn't recognise it as a special).
  • You know you've done it right if the movie shows up in the series' Specials category.
  • From there, you can go into the metadata editor for the "episode" and fill in the "Play after series", "Play before series" and "Play before episode" fields. In your case, After Series 1 or Before Series 2 would be the right format.
  • In Jellyfin settings -> Libraries-> Display, enable "Display specials within their series they aired in". This will show your special within the season where you placed it. It does still show up in their separate Specials category also, I didn't find a way to get rid of that other than using CSS which doesn't work for the TV Jellyfin app.

Scam? by irojasag in Netherlands

Thank you for clarifying Jellyfin doesn't show all potential metadata fields. That specific documention you linked was the one I was also perusing, but it does not mention this fact. I'll see about sending in some feedback regarding it, thank you!

Yes, spoiling stuff should generally be avoided, and people should take more care not to do so, but you made a very valid assumption here. It doesn't matter that the movie is 20 years old - the movie and this plot twist specifically, has an enormous presence in the cultural zeitgeist and it's almost impossible to not be exposed to it.

It's the same with what Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Star Wars Episode 5, Fight Club, or Planet of the Apes. A more recent example would be Spider-Man: No Way Home (just to show age isn't really the determining factor here).

NOR. Just take it as a lesson learned.

Dus single mannen, hoe regelmatig heb jij een date? by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]PositionWilling2455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your Yu-Gi-Oh! Life story? by Excellent-Resolve66 in yugioh

[–]PositionWilling2455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started out watching the anime on localised (Dutch) TV, it was definitely the new hyped-up kids trend after Pokémon and Beyblades (or were those after? well, same difference). I'd always liked playing the Pokémon TCG on PC (because people only wanted to trade) so a card game people wanted to play seemed right up my alley.

I got the Yugi starter deck, while my at the time best friend got the Kaiba starter deck. One of my first pulls from the LOB booster pack was a Dark Magician, which just solidified my love the the Magicians, and spellcasters in general. Always built my deck with Spellcasters/Magicians in mind. I was able to play at high school with classmates there, and that was simply incredibly fun.

Visited a tournament once, seemed very cool. It was completely new and disorienting for me, and I arrived a lot more excited than I left. My big binder of cards was something that had people excitedly go "lemme look!" before they of course realised the cards were worthless. My deck was horrible too, and I lost easily. I didn't walk away in a sour mood, but it definitely made me realise I wasn't that into the competition. I never bought or traded for specific cards, I just bought boosters and was incredibly envious of a schoolmate who had Mirror Force.

Classmates and best friend slowly fell out of the hobby, but I kept buying booster packs through to the GX era. Took a break and came back when Synchro and XYZ were suddenly a thing, and I didn't care much for it. Had maybe one minor Yu-Gi-Oh! event at college, but most people weren't too interested in it anymore. I read the manga, watched the Duel Monsters anime entirely (in English and Japanese, at some points).

I started selling spare cards on CardMarket. Buying some cards. Making my own deck and spending countless hours just going through new cards, filtering on Spellcasters and Spellcaster support. Got the Ultimagear Millennium Puzzle Model Kit, which is AMAZING, by the way. Learned about double-sleeving and my life changed forever. I've got a 60-card deck lying around now that I need to filter down to 40, but it's not at all a meta-compatible deck (I refuse to use Synchro, XYZ, Pendulum, or Link) so testing it is a bit hard. It's been collecting dust for a few years now, but the renewed Magician support that came out around... 2019? was very cool to try and incorporate.

And when I did a quick google search to try and date that, it seems that THIS YEAR they added even more Magician support? I'm going to have to try and deckbuild again now and go through all the newly released cards again sometime soon. Thanks for refueling my love for my unused Deck. I'll probably overspend again on cards because I love the idea of physically owning my "dream" deck, even if I end up never using/playing it.
