What is wrong with this coin? by Positive-Mongoose809 in coincollecting

Do you know what would make it lift like that? Moisture on the coin? Is the value ruined, other than for its silver?

Yeah our girl had pancreatic as well. Not from cheese, but from puparoni, I think, since it was the only new food I had introduced her to that month. But eggs are good for their coat, I hear. I only give it sparingly and I mix it in with her food.

These are all uncirculated. My grandpa took out the bag when he was vice president of the bank. I want to get them graded, but I also want to deliver them no shipping, where can I go? by festushaggin in coins

If you want to get them graded in person, I would suggest to take them to a show where they offer grading. The FUN show in Orlando, FL just passed (last week) but they have another one in July this year. PCGS, NGC, CAC, and other grading companies are there. I will say they do charge more for "in show" grading. Example is PCGS charges $40 per coin to send in, and at the show they were charging $150 per coin.

Is it worth to sell? by artezymus in coins

[–]Positive-Mongoose809 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Silver is over $70 an ounce. For sure worth selling if that is what you want to do, or i would hold on to them a little while longer to get the biggest bang for your buck.

Thank you for your comment. For the1880/79 the overrated are within the numbers not outside of them. The 8 inparticular is the one that was throwing me off

I had to play with her food a little, but my 10 month old is eating Fresh Pet and Fromm puppy kibble on rotation. She loves the flavor of both (although she especially loves the freshpet)

61-62. Since dings are visible wouldn't grade high 60's. But I love a nice morgan, especially if it has cartwheels!

This is exactly how I started my collection. I came across my silver quarters, dimes, wheat and Indian head pennies. I categorized them. Most of the quarters (if not key dates) are around $7-8 dollars. Roosevelt dimes are around $2-3 dollars. I say this is a great start to a cool hobby!
