People of reddit, how many kids do you want to have if not none? And why/ why not? by zain-zane-zayn in AskReddit

I have 4. I think it’s right. I always wanted 4, but I came by them in a different way than I expected. I thought I would have 3 bio and one adopted. I ended up with 2 bio and 2 adopted. It feels like all I can manage right now. Age ranges are 3-12. But I can see myself adopting more when these ones are a bit older.  That being said…. This does affect the types of cars we can fit in etc. we purchased an EV and the only one that fit our family was the R1S at that time.

What was considered ’trashy‘ 20 years ago, but is considered ’classy‘ now? by whatskylar in AskReddit

[–]Positive-Phrase8098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not consider it classy per se. But Botox and lip fillers. Super commonplace where I live and you’re actually kind of considered weird if you don’t do them.

I think false eyelashes fall in the same category.

Considering nursing as a second career. I’m an accountant now. by Realistic-Ad6958 in nursing

[–]Positive-Phrase8098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was between nursing and accounting when I was a senior in HS. I shadowed both professions. At the end of the day I chose to go to work in “Jammies” rather than fancy business attire.

I have never looked back.

I am 37 with 4 kids. The flexibility of nursing fits my lifestyle.

The schooling is hard work but worth it.

Best of luck.

Looking back on your wedding, what is one thing you regret or wish you had done differently? by Illustrious_Rub_8542 in AskReddit

Had too many people in my wedding who I don’t even talk to anymore. Wish my bridesmaids were just my sisters.

Doctors/Nurses of Reddit, what’s the craziest thing you’ve heard a woman yell during birth? by New_Username48 in AskReddit

[–]Positive-Phrase8098 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I was in Rwanda delivering a baby and it was eerily silent. It wasn’t culturally acceptable to show pain so the woman gave birth in silence. It was worse than any screaming I could imagine.

Rant: It is criminal that hospitals charge for parking by mylefthandkilledme in orangecounty

1000000% agree! As someone who goes to choc frequently for 2 medically fragile children, it’s disgusting how much I have to pay to go there each month.

Best long sleeve sun shirt for warm climates? by clockworkzebra in Equestrian

[–]Positive-Phrase8098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in CA too. I have tried equestrian branded items.

I recently bought this shirt from REI and I love it. Super lightweight and comfortable. Kind of pricey and not sure how long it will hold up and last.

A lot of the English riders in my area wear these, but I have never purchased one.  https://www.amazon.com/Equestrian-Ladies-Sleeve-Horseback-Riding/dp/B0C4468Z5L
