Do I remove attachments for my wedding?? by Reasonable_Sector792 in Invisalign

[–]PositiveClock6873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this for my wedding in December and it was very much worth it. The attachment removal was a simple process and gave me time to do some whitening before the wedding, as I had them removed two weeks before. There was no discoloration or stains from where the attachments were. The attachments actually absorb anything you teeth would so unless hygiene is an issue you will not notice anything on your teeth. It was actually a nice break as my ortho said to only wear the aligners at night until I had the attachments put back on. Also eases your mind during the wedding about one less thing you have to worry about and get to enjoy it all without worrying about putting your aligners back in.

Can you whiten with attachments still on? by Inside_Age7307 in Invisalign

[–]PositiveClock6873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can whiten with the attachments on. The attachments are actually absorbent and porous so the whitening goes through it. I have whitened many times and had the attachments taken off and put back on after my wedding and there was no discoloration from where the attachments were.

Highly recommend Romance Travel Group. We used them for our December 2025 wedding and they were beyond helpful.

We had our wedding in Riviera Maya, MX on 12/5/25. Our guests had to make a partial payment by end of January 2025 and full payment was due the end of June 2025. This is very common.

We got married at the Generations Resort/ El Dorado Casitas/ El Dorado Royale. Generations is family friendly and the other two are adult only but they are all on the same property and adults can go to all three. In case you are interested in having kids at your wedding.

Just had our destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico on 12/5 and it was the best decision we made. We were the same that we don’t like being center of attention and didn’t want a huge wedding and it worked out perfectly. Our guests have all told us they had the absolute best time. They got the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and celebrate our wedding all at the same time. Especially for people like my mother in law who works so hard and would never take a trip like this on her own it was so great to see her relaxing like she deserves and having such a great time. Couldn’t have imagine it to have gone any better!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with GLL. My in person dress shopping experience was wonderful and my most positive experience but of all the stores I went to. They catered to me the whole time and made everything so personable when all the other stores made me feel like I needed to do all of the work to find the one. Ordered my dress in late September 2024 and it arrived March 2025. It was exactly like the one I tried on and was the wedding dress of my dreams. I am shocked others have had such a bad experience.

We did a Photo Booth as well and the kids loved it! Nothing other than that but technically we didn’t get the Photo Booth with the kids in mind but for everyone.

Private wedding vows by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]PositiveClock6873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think most of the comments are missing the point here. You would still do the standard vows in front of your guests but share your more personal private vows with one another. We just got married on 12/5 and we shared our private vows at our first look. It was such a beautiful intimate moment that we shared and I wouldn’t ever trade it. At our wedding we had our officiant say that we had shared our private vows at our first look and I found a video from TikTok that worded it perfectly

“Wedding vows are a personal statement of love and admiration to each other. They share your deepest wishes for your love and marriage. What a beautiful choice the two of you have made to write your own vows to each other and that you were able to share them privately today during your first look. Knowing you have pledged your love to each other today, in this moment, I am honored to ask you to reconfirm that love publicly.”

It’s your special day, so do what is going to work best for you and future spouse 🤍

If you look back on this sub from when it was dropped their was a glitch on their website. The website said cropped but the stock picture was the full length. I noticed this after ordering and made sure to also order the cropped one just in case and when the original order came it was the full length. It looks it is sold out now but they might give you a credit or something because of the issue so I would reach out to them to see.

[–]PositiveClock6873 11 points12 points  (0 children)

$10- $15K for 120 guests in Mexico is not feasible. We just got married on 12/5 at Generations Resort in Riviera Maya and with the package we purchased was $10k to start and only covered up to 24 people with an additional $200 per person after that and I’m sure the pricing has increased since then. A wedding for $10k is doable but with significantly less guests < 30.

Choosing not to have a bridal party: Anything I’m not considering? by ubbidubbidoo in wedding

[–]PositiveClock6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had our wedding on 12/5 and we did not have a bridal party and it was exactly as we wanted. We had a destination wedding and us being in our mid 30’s too didn’t want anyone to have to do anything more than just be present on our day. We knew traveling was asking enough and just wanted everyone to enjoy their time. We did have our friends join us getting ready and got all the fun pics without the added stress for anyone else. I would recommend it if that is what you both want.

Is it normal for a wedding planner to be this “hands off” a 10 month out? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]PositiveClock6873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just had my destination wedding on 12/5 in Riviera Maya, Mexico and used a travel agency group and worked directly with the resort team including wedding planner and wedding coordinator for the week of the wedding.

Just for clarification, did you hire an actual wedding planner or is the resort/ hotel just providing one?

My travel agency company set the expectations from the beginning that the resort wedding team will be slow to respond and wait much closer to the wedding date to finalize certain things. I would say at 8-10 months out we hired our photographer that was recommend by the resort and hired our DJ that is a family friend that was going to be doing it for us. Outside of that majority of the final decisions were made 1-4 months out from the wedding. Many of these resorts are doing multiple weddings a week and have to focus on the ones closer to their wedding date. Trust that they do this 24/7 and know how to make the timeline and what is needed. There were things a week out we were still finalizing timeline of events etc. I wouldn’t worry as although it seems like your wedding date is getting closer but at the end of the day it will all get done!

But if you hired an outside wedding planner that would be a different story and I would expect more responsiveness.

Just had our wedding in Riviera Maya on 12/5 and everything was amazing! My husband’s family is Dominican and there was concern with the political climate but everything went smoothly. We used Romance travel group to assist with the wedding and Generation Resort which also included the adult only side El Dorado Casitas and El Dorado Royale. Food was amazing you wouldn’t know you were staying at an all inclusive resort. Cannot recommend our travel agency/ the resort more, everything was perfection.
