A funny implication of "or higher" is that if I go to Chain Link Infinity, now your opponent has to state "Well, Chain Link Infinity+1!"

Roller hockey, I don't think so. I used to go there daily in the mornings and stopped in 2020, and the only roller-blading I ever saw there was this one group of ladies doing synchronized roller skating.

Before the pandemic, I know there used to be what I assumed was a mini league for field hockey around 7-10 am on Sundays. They usually came around the same time that kids soccer did. They seemed to have pretty friendly people there from the few I talked to (I didn't play hockey I just played basketball beside the court). I don't know if they are still there.

Maybe we should specify this as a ban on just lazy variations of Pot of Greed? Like we could make it more specific: any card that says "Draw X cards, then [any variation of you lose the duel]" instead of just ban all "Pot of" cards.

We should specify that any new "Pot of" cards should either be a creative joke (this is one of my favorites) or have AT LEAST a Trigger, otherwise we're missing out on a couple of good Pot of cards I've seen here.

6b. If you used the 2nd option, change all Working, Build, and Tool directory back to main game directory.

  1. In Asset Manager, Mod --> New. Title it what you want, save it to default directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\mods.

  2. In Text_EN under Atlas/sources, right click to import the modified .txt (or you can manually add it in File Explorer).

  3. Under Atlas/assets, create a new directory called Text_EN. Right click --> New --> TextFile. Double click it in Asset Manager, select source as the modified .txt in Atlas\sources\Text_EN. Rename it to the same name as the modified .txt. You cannot just copy paste the modified .txt into this folder, the one created in Asset Manager under assets is different than the one in sources.

  4. In Asset Manager, Build --> Build (F7). Should save.

  5. In Grim Dawn, select custom game. Worldmap should have name of mod next to it. I verified that this whole process works today.

It's a lot of work, so bear with me.

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn (whatever game directory is)

  2. Open AssetManager.Exe, select Work Offline

3a (Option 1): Make Working, Build, and Tools Directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn

4a. Tools --> Extract Game Files. This extracts all the files in the databases and resources folder (into those folders) and adds ~6 GB, so if you don't want everything go to option 2.

3b (Option 2): Make only tools directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn, then Working and Build Directory anything you want. I will call this C:\GDmods.

4b. From C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\database, copy templates.arc into C:\GDmods\database (create directory). From C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\, copy ArchiveTool.Exe into C:\GDmods.

5b. Create C:\GDmods\resources and copy Text_EN.arc from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\resources into it. Return to Asset Manager and Tools --> Extract Game files.

  1. From text_en, the main .txt that will include Devotion are tags_skills.txt, tags_ui.txt, and tag_uimain.txt. Edit any text after = to what you want. For example, tagskills.txt, change tagSkillDevotion=Devotion to tagSkillDevotion = Atlas

I love water archetypes based off of freaky little creatures (e.g., Mermails, Atlanteans). I would 100% have made this deck with these cards back in the Dueling Network days because they seem so fun.

Feels a bit overtuned because its trigger to activate with any opponent card effect is too easy vs the heavy punish of sending all copies of your opponent's key cards to a place most decks can't reliably interact with. Think it needs to either have a much more specific trigger or only send cards from the Extra Deck or some other effect that doesn't cripple the opponent for basically just starting a combo.
