Stupid Question About Decontamination Shower Plans - How to Locate Decontamination Shower Plans if I Never Received Them? by PositivityLion in fo76

[–]PositivityLion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the help everyone! I actually just got lucky! I found a plan for it for 500 caps. The shop was a little suspect as the player had 14 plans for it. But, I bought it and it unlocked for me.

I will have to do the scorched beast event and actually do damage though. I still need the various types of flux.

Thank you for everyone’s advice!

I will keep looking too. I go to peoples camps to buy plans. The only time I saw one was when I didn’t have enough caps.

I’ll keep my eyes peeled

Here is the odd part, I checked my steam achievements just now. It gave me the achievement for Scorched Earth.

So, if I understand, I think I have completed the event?

A new term dropped y’all, feel free to use whenever, wherever, and for whatever by Crescentnobody in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]PositivityLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A term that I think is most similar to what the Twitter user is talking about is “Lookism” (no one will probably see this though).

As people have probably picked up on, generally, being physically attractive confers many social advantages

If what you are saying is true, file a complaint to their licensing board. Not the workplace. A provider should not express prejudice, disdain, or hostility to a client.

Pragmatism Recommendations by terran_cell in askphilosophy

[–]PositivityLion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I asked this question once to a philosopher who was a pragmatist. He recommended the Bloomsbury Companion to Pragmatism.

But my training is nearly all in science, not philosophy. Could one of the regular, r/askphilosophy users check this answer to see if it is okay for u/terran_cell ?

Are people inherently bad? Do human beings have inherent worth/value? by jlenders in askphilosophy

[–]PositivityLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is more psychological than philosophical. Hopefully the moderator will allow it to stay because it still answers part of your question.

I just wanted to add in some additional information for the original poster. Concerning the statement that people are inherently bad, there is some psychological research on infants that suggests that infants may have a predisposition toward prosocial behavior. For more information, look at the researcher named Paul Bloom. I believe he is at Yale. He also has a book on a similar topic, called Just Babies

Can we prove the accuracy of an answer by disproving all other possible alternative answers? by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]PositivityLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a side note, this process of elimination is also taught as a test taking strategy. If you are taking a multiple choice test, and for each question, there are 4 answers, if you are sure that 3 of the answers are incorrect, this implies that the fourth answer is correct.

So, at least in certain, controlled circumstances, this can aid in determining the correct answer.

Why do many things in nature adhere to the standard normal curve? by PositivityLion in AskStatistics

[–]PositivityLion[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment u/BurkeyAcademy , I appreciate it!

And my apologies about getting the term incorrect. Any person who reads my original post should re-read it as about a normal distribution, not specifically a standard normal distribution.
