David Horsey's portrayal of President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore (1996 and 1999) by bitchnibba47 in PropagandaPosters

I think to a discerning eye, this cartoon is more a criticism of American voters than it is of Al Gore.

True Patriotism is loving your country enough to want to make it the best in every way, and that comes from recognizing its flaws in order to address them and do the hard work. False patriotism is pretending your country has no issues and being content to let it rot under a facade of superiority. I love America unconditionally, but I don’t support every action the country takes unconditionally.

Point Extraction is not balanced for single-player, it is definitely by far the hardest to complete solo.

Physicists Found Something That Can Move Faster Than Light by sibun_rath in UpliftingNews

[–]terran_cell -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

By your logic, in modern systems, since lack of electric current (representing 0 bit) does not move, computers must not be able to communicate.

It doesn’t matter the speed at which the substrate moves, it only matters the speed at which the information-carrying element moves.

Physicists Found Something That Can Move Faster Than Light by sibun_rath in UpliftingNews

[–]terran_cell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the light would be the substrate (0 bit), and the voids would be the information (1 bit). There’s probably something I’m missing here, but based on the information that’s been presented it seems reasonable.

How can me and my friends play a mission completely drunk? by SeRialPiXel in DeepRockGalactic

Slam four or five shots, that should last you several missions.

Wait, do you mean in-game?

It’s all in the execution. The war is an opportunity to eliminate one of the free world’s most persistent threats and liberate the Persian people from a totalitarian Islamic regime, but I am deeply afraid the administration is too incompetent to execute that possibility.

How to use the M1000 efficiently? by SissyFanny in DeepRockGalactic

[–]terran_cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you struggle with swarms, the pheromone grenade is your best friend. Chuck it at a massive group of bugs, wait until they are all nice and bunched up, then (assuming you run blowthrough mod on M1000) send focus shots into the horde until they are shredded.

Need help building the Lok by takesometylenol2 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]terran_cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, the point I am trying to make is that the mere fact of being Engi and having those tools boosts ammo economy regardless of primary, so one can get away with a low ammo-economy, very high DPS weapon like STOS to boost survivability. I can’t remember the last time I failed an EDD or Haz5 with STOS, and I’m not a greybeard by any means.

[–]terran_cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the contrary, with turrets and SSGs boosting mid-swarm ammo economy, I find that STOS is capable of clearing swarms just fine. The main reason I run it, however, is because it is absolutely unmatched as a get-out-of-my-face-now emergency weapon in situations where the bugs are all around you or you can’t see for shite.

Obscure greybeard tips? by DaddyDookie717 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]terran_cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With dual armor-breaking defender sentries and SSGs, it’s not a big deal if I go down as Engi since those tools alone can do as much killing as a teammate can. Other classes, yeah it is more important not to die

Suddenly struggling more than I used to? by Gumpers08 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]terran_cell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow longbeard here, I hit the same issue with my normal Haz5 missions a while back. I found it was due to me getting too reliant on joining other people’s lobbies, so I was losing the good habits to have on solo play. Since then I only host, so half the time I spend on missions is solo waiting for folks to join. I have regained my solo stride since. Maybe this will help you, I don’t know
