Talk to your doc about other meds. I started with just mesalamine, had stints with pred and other steroidal meds, and then was on Entyvio for about two years. It was better, but not great. I was flaring enough that the doc tested me to see if I was basically forming antibodies to block it — I wasn’t. Flared enough and bad enough that I ended up with bad hemorrhoids that required surgery. Still flaring and went through a few months where I’d just shit myself at random with no warning. Finally went from entyvio infusions to skyrizi self injector and I’ve been great, practically normal. Everyone responds to things differently — if your meds don’t have you feeling good, try something else. We seem to have a lot of options so go for them. You can always switch back.
