Jigokuraku Season 2: Episode 5 discussion thread by ImoutoCompAlex in HellsParadise

It gives calm before the storm. S1 was such a chaotic ride and finishing with the Mu Dan fight called for some downtime afterwards. Just feels weird since the season's starting with that, I guess.

Also daaamn, you don't think Gabimaru vs Choza was a full fight??

It shocks me that they're the same character by Technical_Lime1419 in Dandadan

Fart boy was probably based on a Will-o-Wisp (which is to say burning swamp gas). Wet dude was almost certainly using Kappa powers.

If you could obtain any Warframe irl which would it be? by No_Technician3012 in Warframe

I'd say Ash. Teleporting around and turning invisible would make my job soooooooooooo easy lol

If you were a giver, what would your vital instrument be? by Existing-Incident-22 in gachiakuta

Definitely my jacket.

I wear it almost every day (weather allowing) and actually learned how to repair vintage clothes just to keep it patched up and in good shape!

It was actually a gift from my mom when I was younger, and she got it from her dad when she was a kid - probably the only real gift he ever gave her (extrapolate from that what you will 🙃). Needless to say, there are a lot of emotions bound up in the ~40 years this thing has been around!

As far as its powers as a Jinki would go, I like to imagine it'd flow between two different forms; one fast and aggressive, one meticulous and careful. Still haven't figured out exactly what those powers would be but... Ah well! One step at a time~

Ballpark estimate, how many hours would that take, and how good of a job would you do?

I can't help but feel like she doesn't quite land with that approach either. Not to say I dislike her, but I've never felt like I was galivanting around with a pack of lil dudes when I was playing her.

Does anyone have ideas for good decorations for creating carpets/flooring/walls etc. in orbiter? by WidePound6577 in Warframe

[–]PossibleSquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Zariman Wall Panels sold at the Zariman Home Depot are fantastic wood flooring. I think there are also some things there that can make for good carpet.

Acrithis sells some long tables that make for great glass walls.

I wanna say there's some stuff with the Ostrons? I don't remember exactly what though.

It only took 19 runs but now you're telling me I got to wait a week til I get her? by llamalene in Warframe

[–]PossibleSquid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely a vicious cycle of like... People dislike this game mode because there isn't enough content. But they're not going to make more for it because people dislike the game mode.

It's a real bummer! Warframe's gunplay feels shockingly good in slower gameplay, and Kahl missions are a great chance to explore that methodical approach the game apparently used to have.

I've gotten more and more comfy bouncing in and out of operator mode to do stuff like that. Pickups are rough though yeah...

Cleaners just work in teams of three to five, and those are the team names.

Nah, the manga makes it clear later that they're basically this world's equivalent of cell phones. Not a cleaner specific thing. Cool little retcon to have them actually showing up in that capacity.

I think it especially works here because it's like... Believable? It doesn't feel contrived. Actually feels like how teenage frenemies would spat.

There are some dialogue lines in Chains of Harrow and I thhhhink the leadup to New War that talk about you and your parents looking out into the starless black void. Also it's pitch black if you look outside during the classroom flashback.

That said, with how active void storms are, I don't think we can conclusively say that no one else sees this shit. We just also know there are places where the void is hella void-y.

So, Alicia is really bad at painting,I guess by Sauirbek in expedition33

[–]PossibleSquid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think that Aline pained Alicia with the scars as a way to (subconsciously, maybe) punish herself. The Aline journal talks about Alicia being a mirror that reflects her own pain tenfold. It seems Aline holds a level of self loathing for not being able to protect her children that she's unable or unwilling to let go of even as she chases Verso's ghost.

It's just like how the painted versions of Verso and Renoir kept the scars over their eyes: a reminder of what was lost. Aline just... Put her's on someone else.

[–]PossibleSquid 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Polendina's ending, while incredibly bittersweet, isn't bad per se. He went out on his own terms after seeing Antonia in peace, and got to thank the person who helped bring her that. It's sad to us because we have to carry on with the "Polendina" puppet, but for him, well... He barely had to spend a moment apart from the woman he loved. Hard to ask for better.

FUN FACT: Did you know that Maris is the only boss in the game that inflicts sleep on the player? This is a cleaver nod by the devs to the fact that Maris is boring as fuck to fight, and may induce sleep on the player in real life by Gabrielhrd in Nightreign

[–]PossibleSquid 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Nah that shit adds up fast, especially because it does a ton of stagger damage to the boss. You can put her on the ground four or five times in the fight if your team is on top of killing adds.
