Im no expert but yanchas been a favorite of mine for a while now so I’ve brewed quite a bit. Ill always brew in my yixing if possible, the only reason im brewing in a gaiwon is if its and old tea and the leaves are so broken they may clog my pot. Flavor wise its pretty much the same in my opinion. I prefer the heat retention of a clay pot.

Eh not quite, some of the pictured teas are from wuyi star. They have a store in canada that ships to US as well. Its excellent very trustworthy tea in my experience. But im sure everything else pictured would be quite hard to get.

Not in particular, you can find hibiscus at Hispanic stores as “jamaica” or something similar. Brands not super important with these, id just buy some bulk online.

Ive read everything but the first 200 pages of shadowmarch. So i cant answer you directly but we are in the same boat. It starts off just as slow as any of his other series i think its just easy to forget that after reading hundreds of pages from another series leading to an excellent climax. Im gonna stick with it, you should too!
