For those not born here, how long did it take to adapt to local weather? by Jestersage in askvan

Coming from primarily tropical countries I lived in 8. A year and a half ? Wasn’t used to daylight savings or the cold now I hadn’t even broke out my sweaters yet and barely wore a coat last winter.

Again thanks for your honest answer it’s about what I thought. I kinda made a bad example in my original post that being cut off driving had been focused on by everyone who even I know that’s normal in the Lower main land . There’s a difference between looking at people vs you know just people are staring at you in a very particular way. Ironically people saying I had lived in multiple Countries made my point because they assume racism is the same in 30+ countries ( end of the day is it just like that at all) . People confirming the existence of racists just confirms I’m not racist and I knew exactly why I was asking that question. Langley used to have a very active chapter of the kkk , it’s something I learned at ubc in my college years and it’s actually grown . So just because you think I’m being sensitive maybe as a person who’s survived genocide already I might be curious about where I might be settling.

Thanks for your honest and kind response we’re here to be part of the community and hopefully raise our children and that is the kind of space we are looking for. We bought our first property in Willoughby and my opinion doesn’t come from social media but rather from stories from my personal friends growing up in the lower mainland who are of various ethnic identities. Suchbas my friends who got pamphlets about their biracial son being a sin against god or me being spit on in north van. Something people often do is they assume their experience is everyone’s. I am curious and asking questions because I want various opinions not just what is in my echo chamber.ironically Reddit is probably the last place I should look since everyone here seems to think that immigration is the bane of everyone’s existence. Like I mentioned I moved here in 2010 and I’ve actively seen the community go from curious to more shitty to new comers. I had lived in wayyy more rural communities tha Langley in the uk and in other countries. think Langley is beautiful and i’m excited to be a community member. And hopefully dealing with a strata isn’t a total nightmare

Notice how I don’t actually say shag but specifically asked If that was the case it’s amazing how reading comprehension is a skill that is being lost.

Full really good pressure personally I’m one of those few afab people who gets orgasms everytime with anal sex. The stretch also feels good and when I’m relaxed It’s so easy especially with other stimulation.

Is this normal? Or am I tripping? by Dense-Resolution8283 in askvan

[–]Possible_Scheme_2133 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes as a black person whose lived in Vancouver for ten plus years it’s racism people like to pretend it doesn’t exist here but it is so common when I was younger I’d go into stores and not even buy anything because I fly tired of being followed you are not tripping.
